Hey Havent seen this alot on these boards. Could someone tell me how it is? I've read the review here on GS, but thats only 1 persons oppinion. Also, have they improved online (compared to GH3). I can't make any "private" games or invite any of my friends to play... i can only make public games, and coordinate it with my friends on the phone, so that i wont have strangers taking the spot etc.
I have it, and I also enjoy it very much. This is coming from a Rock Band person as well... But I admit that I would prefer it if it was DLC rather than a whole new game. That being said, the guitar is very fun, and not too difficult yet still feels like you accomplished something after you nail that solo. I would only purchase if you really like Metallica, after you complete everything, its still the same songs with the only DLC for it being Death Magnetic. If you like Metallica, I don't see why not.
I played it over a friend's house. It seemed like the same old Guitar Hero that was just focused on Metallica. I don't think this game is going to sway you either way if you do or do not like Guitar Hero. If you like Guitar Hero, and like Metallica, it's a no-brainer.
My thoughts: If you can wait on it, I would do so. Guitar Hero Aerosmith is already selling dirt cheap, and I assume in a while there will be sales on this game as well. If you don't care about the money, go ahead and pick it up.
Sorry I can't comment on the online play and the full tour mode and all that stuff, because i only played 2 songs.
I can vouch for the online being much better in this game than past Guitar Hero games. The above poster is correct however. If you are on the fence about purchasing it, wait a bit and see if the price drops, then you can't go wrong.
Not really on a fence. I've been a die hard Metallica fan for almost 20 years now, and when i got my PS3 i got GH3 for it aswell (being a guitarist IRL, it would be pretty fitting). Well i fell in love with guitar hero... it's SOOOO hard not starting guitar hero whenever my ps3 is on. Only gripe i have with it is the online part. Just today i wanted to play with my friend. I had to call him on the phone, and tell him when to refresh the list, and quickly join. So i really hope they have some kind of invite system er private gaming or something now.
I have Metallica, and I think it's pretty awesome. Just last night, we had a three person band going with my little brother's friend on drums on hard right before he went out to preform a real concert with his band at the Symposium.
