so it seems that my ps3 is heating up and i decided to get this Nyko intercooler it seems really impressive and pretty cheap(30 bucks) anyone got it ? is it worth buying?does it hurt my ps3?

Your PS3 is going to run hot... there's a lot going on under that hood. The intercooler is more of a gimmick than a useful accessory. As long as your PS3 is in a well ventalated place, that you clean regularly, you'll be fine. But, if you're that concerned about the PS3's temp... then get a small fan to put next to it to circulate the air around it. This is just as effective as the intercooler, and cheaper.

dont buy it.... if your worried about the ps3 over heating ... trade it in for a slime before its to late

All PS3's run hot, thats just the way it is. You don't need an intercooler, this is a PS3 your talking about not a RedBox 360...

It's warm, but not blistering. But then again neither is the older PS3's.

I had an inter-cooler at one point in time, but shortly after, i sold it due to an unbearable amount of noise that it created... although from a functional perspective, i think it did the job pretty well...

(edit: i can't recall if i had the nyko inter-cooler...)

if ur gonna get 1, get the pelican air flo cooler, its the best one, but a simple house fan pointed at the front vents keeps mine cool(the vents under the disc tray by the usb holes)
