Im getting my ps3 replaced by sony since it isnt working properly, and they are sending me one for free. Im just wondering if anyone here has had their PS3 replaced by mail, and If it was ever damaged while it was being shipped over to u? I would just hate to get this new ps3 and find it is broken again.

Well, technically anything could happen. A large, potato like asteroid could slam into the Earth and destroy everything. I would not worry too much about your PS3 being damaged during shipping.

Um... yeah I got my PS3 by mail through DHL on JULY 17th, and there was no damage on the system. No scratches, dents, it has been working perfectly since I got it. Hopefully yours will be too. :)

Naw, I was just making lite of the topic but seriously I would not lose any sleep over it. It should be fine, they package it very well to minimize the shock/jostle of shipping.

Ummm.... how do you think the PS3s get to the stores they are sold at? Carebears drop them off? Lol. If they make it to the stores safe and sound I think you should be alright

It will be shipped in a large cardboard box with bubble wrap and wrapping paper and with all that the PS3 is inside it's own box.

If it gets damaged I'd be suprised. I had mined shipped through mail by futureshop and it came perfectly fine. Not even a dint in the box.

usually, when you buys something like this (or in your case, send back to get back), they do such a good job with packing that its almost impossible to break it inside. when i got my laptop, they had a huge cardboard box with bubble wrap all on the inside then the actual box with styrofoam inserts. so id say youre pretty safe with your ps3.
