is it true that FM 2.01 crashes, freezes...etc. your ps3?... i currently have 1.80 bought the system just over 3 weeks ago now, and i want to play online, but i cant unless i update... i heard alot of forums saying that 2.01 is freezing and crashing your ps3 and stuff like that... i know 2.00 wasnt all nice with the ps3 and all but is anyone haveing any problems with 2.01? please help me...

I recently bought Ridge Racer 7 and I've had it freeze on me two times, but I don't think it was because of the new firmware. All my other PS3 games and PS2 games work perfectly.

The 2.0 and the 2.01 hasen't been a problem at all here. Just update and enjoy the system.

haven't had a problem. The only game that freezes on me is Assassin's Creed. and thats a bug within the game itself.

I read that 2.00 was the version with the problems, and 2.01 came out to fix these problems. Not everyone was experiencing problems though. 2.01 works perfectly fine though.

My Blu-ray Drive stopped reading discs after the update, so I used my Best Buy PRP and swapped it out.

not really sure but my assassin's creed froze twice today and thats never happened for me until today i had to turn the power off from the back.

Seems to me that since the update I keep getting signed out of ps network which stops my online gaming. I have the required ports forwarded, anyone else have this problem?

Yeah my games freeze quite a bit now. My NHL 08 freezes all the time when it starts up and after every game but it eventually loads up.

Mines running just fine since 2.01 update-I had problems previously,but this update seems to have sorted my probs.

I UPDATED WITH 2.0 and had to send my PS3 back to sony b/c of it. I even tried to update to 2.01 and it didn't help at all. But they are giving me another one. So, some have had problems and others haven't. I say go ahead and get it, but then turn off the media bar tracker and everything should be ok.

Yes, same here. PSN keeps kicking me out with 2.01. No idea why.

Same here... It tells me all the time, that my Ethernet cable is not connected... Annoying as hell...

Interesting. I'm connected wirelessly, but if you're using a cable, it must be a more general connectivity issue.
