Anyone here ever forget sometimes that they have a PS3?

I mean it happens to me sometimes just because I hardly have a replayable library of games. I've had my system since November 17th & have Marvel, Resistance, Motorstorm & recently sold my Spiderman 3. I'm usually playing my PS2 games on it, but besides that my PS3 is just collecting dust.

PS: No. I'm not a troll or hater. 

I still play my ps2.

I don't forget it. But, because of the amount of games issue, I don't play it as much as I thought I would. That makes me feel bad because my dad paid a pretty penny for it. I guess you can call me a picky game chooser.Tarmgar

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being a picky game chooser. I don't go out there and buy every $60 game that drops for the PS3. You're not alone, buddy.  

If I had a job, I'd go around buying all I can, that I like.  But I don't and I'm on a limited budget.  Gotta wait for them good games.

I'm like you man. My ps3 is just used for ps2 games and watching DVD, thats all. I never play ps3 games on it because I played all I wanted so far.

its certanly a bad launch and half a year for the ps3 and I cant say I'm happy with my ps3 so far  with the serious games issues, but I have little hope with the release of Ninja Gaiden Sigma in a couple of weeks for now.

I agree. People should play online untill new games.

Umm...no. For two reasons: A) I see it everday when I walk in the door to my bedroom; and B) I rarely forget things that I spent so much money on.  

Owning three of the next gen systems, I forget sometimes that I have the PS3. I kind of wished that I waited til this fall or holiday season to get one cause I haven't really played any games on it except for Resistance and Motorstorm. I got caught in the hype and bought one. I've used it more to play PS2 games (at times, but I still have my PS2 which I use more often then the PS3) and blu ray movies. I find myself using the other two consoles more often. I guess that's why production of the PS3 has decreased recently until it starts selling well and they're able to cut production costs.

I'm addicted to Resistance and Calling All Cars, havn't forgotten I have a PS3. 

I agree, I bought one, didnt play hardly any PS3 games as they are nearly all crap, spent most of my time playing PS2 games.

So ended up selling it, got nearly all my money back and decided i will buy it again in a year or twos time when they are cheaper and more quality PS3 games to play.

I totally understand what you mean. I dont own a PS3, but when I bought my PS2 it sat on my shelf almost untouched for an entire year, until the good games started coming out on it. I reckon it will be the same for the PS3, later this year you'll be reminded constantly of what you have once all these awesome titles (which.. I have to admit, are becoming a little bit mythological in my mind, I feel like we've been waiting for them FOREVER) start coming out! 

It's hard to admit.. but yes I do sometimes forget I have a PS3 .   I currently own 16 titles and 8 downloaded online, but i'm just too tired after work to actually play them. There will be times i'm home on the weekend, bored out of my mind, just lounging around and then it hits me.."Dude, What are you doing!? you invested 2000 bucks on a system, play it!"

 I don't know , it just slips my mind. I also have a Wii which after the first week honeymoon I basically only use it for comfort web browsing. Don't really play games on there , unless I have friends over ,because playing party games alone is a tad sad.

Well I don't forget... but like you, I have been playing PS2 games like nobody's business.  I don't even own any PS3 games at the moment.  I have pwned Motorstorm, Resistance, and Dark Alliance, but none of them really felt like they should be permanent additions to my collection, and I traded them in while the trading was good.  Since the 1.8 update, I have really been enjoying the 1080p support for a bunch of the old PS2 games I passed on.  I'm currently playing MGS3 and LOVING it.

Well im freakin happy with mine and i dont forget it.  I have 8 games and 2 downloaded games which keep me busy.  Ive beat fall of man. Play COD 3 online.  Altimate alliance i play when i have friends over. Motorstorm and Ridge Racer 7 when i feel like racing.  Im in my 2ns season on NHL 2k7,  Im still trying to win the heavy weight title in fight night round 3 and i just purchased MLB 07 the show which is a great baseball game and just started a franchise.  downloaded calling all cars which is a great multiplayer game.  and Ive downloaded cash,guns and chaos by accident  but its an ok game so no I dont forget that my PS3 is there.  Theres plenty of games out there to keep everyone busy.fuman3

Amen brother....I rock the PS3 daily.  FEAR, NHL2K7, and Super Rub a Dub (don't laugh...that game is fun!) are keeping me quite occupied right now.

Well, I don't really forget I have it, but man does it collect dust!  I also own a 360, and its been really hard for me to choose a PS3 game over a 360 game most of the time, especially when it is multiplatform.  I mean, the PS3 has some good games to choose from and has since launch, but when almost 90% of those games are already on another console, and in some cases have been on another console for at least half a year, it makes the PS3 library look dismal in comparison.  Thank God that Sony's 1st party lineup is going to finally start kicking in pretty soon, because there are only so many PS2 games I want to play right now.

jokes aside i can sort of understand what you mean but it just ahsn't happened to me. We use it for to many things particularly now that we have the media center pc connectivity.
