Hey guys,

For one of the things i got for my birthday, i got the official PS3 headset. Before opening it, i just want to make sure it is worth it and good. How are your experiences with it?

Also, for note, i have been using the Warhawk Jabra Headset since it came out (for comparisons sake)

Thanks guys!

It works perfectly well but the Turtle Beach P21's are my favourite at the moment.

It's clear, precise and doesn't lose connection. It's superbly well done and made specifically for PS3 (As the product name implies).

I had been using since it came out with pretty much any online game or simple chat.

For comparison preferences, I used few different Blu-tooth devices and didn't find them as reliable or stable connection wise. I keep those for cell phone use instead.

Go ahead and use it.

Like the others said, it gets the job done pretty well.

It's amazing. It tells you battery life on the screen, easy to hit mute button, and it fits comfortably on my ear.

Pretty good, though I wasn't a fan of the design/comfort factor. I use my Astro A40's for my game sound/mic ... I've used a ton of BT headsets and the official just didn't cut it for me.. I prefer wired to be honest.

i personally love it, but if you use it for more than 2 hours it stats to bother your year a little bit. That's when i usually change years :). Otherwise sound quality is perfect

I have had no problems with the Official PS3 Headset. The sound quality is great and it is generally comfortable to wear. I can't ask for much more.

It is my 1st Bluetooth headset & I'm quite happy with the purchase. Initially, it was a bit painful on top of my ear but I realize it could be adjusted just a wee bit so it's a bit more comfortable for me now. I think I have fairly big ears so that's probably why. It fits comfortably on my girl's ear before modification so yeah. I use it not only on my PS3 but also on my cell phone. Volume, voice quality & connection seems excellent to me. I've only had it disconnect from my cell phone once & only because I left my cell on my desk while I stepped outside onto my balcony. The headset comes with a charge stand so if the battery becomes empty while you are playing a game, you can plug it into the charge stand & still talk to you friends while playing which is an excellent feature. You just need to plug in headphones into your speaker system so your friends don't get massive feedback from your speakers.

Speaking about charging, it is quite simple & easy. Once plugged into the charging stand, it will blink a red ring light. Once it is fully charged, the headset will have a solid red ring on until you unplug it.

Edit: If you already have a Bluetooth headset, why don't you sell your birthday present & get a game in return. Walmart will except returns without reciepts in exchange for a gift card.

Its the only headset I have used. Its the best I know of, its clear and works easily. I told my friend to usehis mobile bluetooth headset and he sounds crackly and scrammbled all the time so I recommend the offical headset

thanks for the responses! But one more question before i open it. I find that with my Jabra Warhawk headset, i sometimes say something, but i have to repeat it again for the mic to "start". This gets really annoying. Does anybody know what i'm talking about? About how sometimes, some things said do not get registered. Anyways, does the official headeset have this problem too? Thanks!~

Uh.... not too sure what you're talking about since I've never had a problem repeating what I've said but hopefully someone can enlighten on your situation.

This... Seriously sounds so good its scary. I don't own it but when talking to people with the headset you can tell. One guy with one scared me once. I wasn't wearing my headset and dude started talking I looked over my shoulder like "Some bodies in my house." took me a second to realise it was coming from my Tv...

The headset is the best I've come accross for the PS3 and it works equally well on a cell phone.
