Well, I don't know how it compares to LCD but the quality is great. Also you do have to replace the bulbs like every year or two and the bulbs cost between 200 adn 250 dollars. Sorry no pics.

Seriously every year? No wonder they are so cheap compared to LCD and Plasma, well scratch that I guess im not gonna get a DLP...
I play on a 52 inch HP DLP television and haven't had any trouble with it. My mom and I both purchased the exact same tv back in march and she already had to replace the bulb though. It was covered under HP's warranty so she didn't have to pay anything. We both bought 3 year warranties so if you purchase one, I would recommend the extended warranty.
the led dlp televisions are awesome. i have the 61 inch model 1080p of the tv and it is so wicked. the bulbs go for 40-60 thousand hours the same as lcd. the picture quality is so smooth and belive me i have tried all tv's like lcd plasma and the new led dlp tv's are the best. they are amazing for gaming and the best for sports!!!!!! if ur into a tv get led dlp cheap and amazing

Well it also depends how often you use your tv and if you leave it on alot. So the max to change a bulb is every 2 years. But that tv is really good that you showed me.
i like the picture quality on the DLP sets and they don't seem to have as much glare problems as LCD or plasma, but they are thick. I still like the idea of a 58 inch plasma tv hanging on my wall. I don't have one yet, but that's what I'm thinking about.

I thought about getting a tv to hang on my wall but all those exposed wires changed my mind.
the samsung FPT-5094 that is supposed to be coming out in October is wireless. a remote panel has all the connections, so you can put it out of sight. it transmits the signals to the tv. will add about $600 to the cost of the 50 inch samsung plasma according to articles I read. of course you still gotta deal with the power cord.
yeah DLP is digital light processing made by the texas instruments company, its fairly new compared to hd and lcd and plasma If i were you i would stick with lcd since thats the current leading choice for gamers and so on. I have a 60 inch sony lcd and i love it couldnt be more happy, i have had it for a year so far no problems.
