Anyone notice how PSN games have to be adjusted?

The screen size, I mean. I just got on Rag Doll Kung Fu (btw, wow...) and it prompted me to adjust the screen size.

I also remember having to do this in WipEout HD, Warhawk and Soldner X - all PSN games. Is there a reason that these games have to be adjusted to fit my screen? Because I've never had to do this with my hard copy PS3 games.

I've actually had to adjust the screen in one disc-based game. MLB 08 the show needed some serious adjusment to fit my TV screen. It's weird too, because no other game has been screwed up the way that one was before I adjusted it. :? As for PSN games, I've only played Wipeout HD, and it didn't need any adjustments to fit the screen...

I've noticed this as well. I don't really know the reason behind it though.

Maybe because they're configured for widescreen tv's, and not everyone has one?

I think its for the wide screens. Most PSN games are made in Hd so it makes sense to create them for HD screens. I'm still on SD=( and even after adjusting some games still don't quite fit my screen right.

Yeah, I think its because people have very different screen sizes in general and I guess the PSN games don't all adjust according to your PS3's settings. However, Ragdoll Kung Fu is the only game I've encountered this in. Everything else was ready to go. I have a 48" widescreen LCD, btw.

I've never downloaded a PSN game so I wouldn't know. It's not that much of a problem right?
