Yes I am. :D Game has already been in development for 2 years, headed up by the director of Uncharted 2... So I wonder how long we have to wait to play the game, trailer looked absolutely awesome though!
Can't wait. Wasn't entirely in love with Uncharted 3, but it was a great time, and now that I know why it wasn't everything it could have been, I'm both miffed and ecstatic to see the new title headed up by the Uncharted 2 director. I was really hoping Naughty Dog would take on a new IP after UC3, and they delivered far faster than I could have imagined.
I'm extremely skeptical. It certainly looks like it will have potential, but I'm worried it's going to be as linear as Uncharted. I just don't like games that force the player down an extremely narrow path.

I think I'm the complete opposite of you. I would like to see a lot of QUALITY gunplay. What would you like to see in the game?
I rather see more reliance on setting up traps, melee, salvaging items,barricade, and maybe some light stealth elements (like Siren Blood Curse). Don't get me wrong I know there will be gunplay in the game. A heavy reliance on it kind of seems out of place. I'm just odd and prefer that way :P

I agree, I'd like to see gunplay take a backseat. Ammo should be limited, forcing you to save it for those moments when you really need it.
Very excited, mostly because of the dev. I love ND. Uncharted is my favorite exclusive franchise, and one of my overall favs of this gen. Jak games were great too, and loved CB back in the day.
It looks very interesting, I hope there's plenty of gunplay, but I hope that there is other stuff going on to.
i cannot wait for it, it looks very interesting and I really wonder if co-op will be a huge component of the game. It looks like a very in-depth story is going to be brought to us as well, Naughty Dog hasn't let me down once

I'm excited. The characters look great and I loved the witty dialogue in the trailer. I'm sure Naughty Dog will take us on a great adventure. I'll pre-order it the day it shows up on Amazon.
I agree ... Hopefully they will focus on character development and most importantly the story. There are too many games who's attention gets taken away because of the online elements. If they focus on the story 90% during the development and 10% on extras it will become a good game. It looks like it could be a survival game. Maybe it can become something similar between Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Who knows?! From the trailer, it looks promising. I just hope it isn't like many games before that look good on a trailer and when the official game came out, it was crap.

You should be also interested in it because you are a fan of gaming; not because a popular developing company is making it:)
It looks cool so far. Just hope it won't end up being a regular zombie shooter. But hey this is ND we're talking about. As far as I can remember none of their games have disappointed me so far.
Yep.Definately looks like a cool game. Like someone else said though i hope its not too linear like the uncharteds. I think the game would be better if it was more open to exploration, although a completely open world probably wouldnt suit it either.
i can't wait for this game, i need a new change of pace from the Uncharted game, and i'm a huge fan of zombie shooting games such as L4D, so since it's made by ND, i know they will deliver
I just read that this game has been in development for 2 years already, so im guessing it will be shown at E3 then come out later in the year next year.
The preview does look very cool, but I will have to wait for more information before I form an actual opinon on it, but it is Naughty Dog and I've very much liked all of their Playstation games so far, so yes, I am excited.
Not really...Nothing wrong with it really, I'm just not looking for that kind of game right now. I'm also thinking the gameplay will be something like Uncharted, which I only kind of like.
I'm not excited about it. Love the Uncharted games but I don't like games with tons of blood in it. As it stands from the trailer I might pick it up if there are no bloody scenes where something is being torn up to shreds. The setting I'm actually liking since I remember reading a book that was similar in that the person was one of the last people in the world, definitely makes for a good story and I do like that one of the protagonists is a girl. I would hope that she is the main character. At least there is still the Jak HD collection to look forward to.

I am actually on the opposite end of the spectrum. I hope that it is just about as linear as Uncharted. I think open world games are so overrated. Open world games for the most part become repetitve and boring imo and they are not as engaging because the story can not be developed as strongly. I would much rather have a more linear game, where everything in the game is crafted to create one cohesive and awesome experience. Thats just me though
I am, I also get this feeling that it's going to be a standalone game rather than a series. I don't know why, but it just seems that way. The Last of Us isn't exactly a name that rolls off the tongue, so a "The Last of Us 2" (sounds wrong) or "The Last of Us: subtitle" doesn't seem likely. Also The PS3 is nearing the end of it's cycle with the next gen coming around with rumours of the Playstation 4 and next xbox coming late next year or the year after that. They could release this self-contained standalone game and then move onto another new IP on the new system.
Which part of the game are you talking about? The part where she got in your way, the part where you had to play as her, or the part of the game where she got in your way? lol! I agree with you 100% with this aspect. It would be good to play a game to where the added characters don't block your path or add in extra "complications" because that character cannot seem to be self efficient in any way shape or form? Hopefully they don't spend a lot of time making you have to save the other character because they keep finding trouble. The lastest "survival" game I played was Dead Space 2 and that was more action orientended after awhile. Hopefully this game will live up to the name of SURVIVAL.
Looks amazing! Just hope the girl won't be annoying like Ashley in RE 4.JasonDarksavior
