No. I don't think it would be good in 3d. As much love as I have for the old side scrollers, they don't translate well into 3d. I'd rather have a PSN download of DD the way it was.
An old-school side-scrolling game along the lines of Double Dragon, Final Fight, Streets of Rage in 1080p for the PSN would actually be a pretty cool game. make it arcade style and playable for up to 4 players, even co-op online and that would be a sweet game that I think a bunch of people would download.
