YEAH! It is happening to my right stick. My character keeps looking in different directions without me moving the stick. It is very annoying, and I don't seem to notice it with UT3 though.
It's only started happening since I have been playing COD4, but before then they were perfect. Now both my controllers are starting to do the same thing.
It hasn't happened to mine so far.rodney130
thats because u havent started sniping and running all at the same time. yea my controller sort of reacts with the night vision, i dont but when im playing my night vision pops out of no where on. so ya different problems..
Click L3 ONCE to sprint. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HOLD IT DOWN. Sheesh!cfaragi'd like to see u do that to snipe someone in the head..
My controller started acting funny lately while playing Warhawk.
My character starts running in circles for a few seconds.
It could honestly be the fact that Six Axis controllers are made cheap. I'd hope not though, cause I paid a fair amount for both.
I can't wait for DS3 to hit NA.
100%. Happened to both my controlers(i just pick up which ever is nearest). now i edge forward on all my games which is extremely annoying. i need a fix. Anyone got one?shabab12
Mine do the exact same thing. It wasn't so bad until I picked up UT3. Even the slightest move you make causes you to run full speed.
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a fix for this, which sucks. Unless you consider getting a brand new controller a fix, which at $50 a pop can get expensive. I've gone through two controllers the same way and refuse to buy another until the price goes down.

Yea, its realy annoying. I might replace my 2 controlers when DS3 comes out. I want a DS3 ad mabye the price of the Sixaxis will drop(no way they can still sell it at the same price). It will cost me about £50($100) but this was i get WORKING controlers and have spares for big group of mates. still wish i could spend that £40 on a game though.
Let me REPEAT. Click L3 ONCE TO SPRINT. Hold it down while you push forward to print and not only will you get kill your thumb but you WILL RUIN YOUR CONTROLLER...
Click ONCE, people. DONT HOLD down.
cfarag
Yea, but you have to hold it to hold your breath while sniping.

Yeah, but it's one thing to hold it down in a straight position and another completely to have to hold it down while you jut in various directions. As far as a fix for the edging forward thing, it's very simple. Take it apart and clean it. I do it every once in a while to keep my controllers running smoothly without sticky buttons or any of that annoying stuff. I'm pretty good with stuff like that, so don't go ruining your control and blaming it on me. I will say, however, that its not that hard. Once you open the casing, the electrical guts can be carefully removed. At this point, all the buttons fall out extremely easily. wash em' in the sink, and voila! Oh, and a note on the analog sticks. When you first take the casing apart, they are attached to the electrical guts. Just pull straight up on them and they'll pop right off and you can uses cotton swabs or whatever you want to clean all the grime away.
The bluetooth on the sixaxis cuts out from time to time. That may be the problem. Maybe not.
I'm hoping the DS3 doesn't have the same problem.
My left analog stick drifts upward, and my L1 button sticks/won't work sometimes. I'll hold down L1 to aim down sight and my guy will keep pulling away from the sight, bringing the gun back to the hip position...it's annoying as hell.
