So I picked up the new Batman for black friday, and I heard it is quite long, so I am trying to figure out if I have enough time to beat it before some other things come up. I am the kind of guy who likes to do all the side quests, but couldn't give less of a **** about tracking down riddler trophies. So I will do all the side missions (that I can find, anyway), the campaign, and probably the Catwoman side missions as well. Anyone have any idea how long all that +perhaps some running around shenanigans may take?

beat mine within a week and unlock most, almost all, sp trophies/unlocks. Haven't tried challenge mode. that might add a couple more days.

I beat it in 7 1/2 hrs. Did just a few side quests. The game is too easy on Normal difficulty.

Hmm...you know I'm not quite sure what the exact hours are because I rented it only so I can't go back and check. I did manage to beat it twice on hard mode (i started hard mode straight off the bat), one time being new game plus. I will say that I played it from 11pm (when I get off work) to about 6 am every morning. I sleep from 7 am to about 3pm then go back to work.. It was a fantastic game so I couln't stop playing it at 2am like other games. ;)

about a day

it took me this long to realise the plot was convoluted and shoddily thought out

the control systems still had all the old flaws an it brought nothing new to the table apart from a slightly bigger sandbox

i sold my copy the day after to some sucker

what a waste

I am very disturbed by this post. Just saying. I played it for 2 hours at a time and went through the story and did some side quests ... probably took me a total of 12-14 hours on Normal. I still had a lot of side quests to do, so I am starting over and doing them all. The game has a weird way of making you feel like you need to hurry up and beat it towards the end, which was cool, but you really don't have to rush it. I didn't really enjoy the Augmented Reality Training, but it is a good way to gain XP

I was disappointed in the game's length. It was shorter than Arkham Asylum. Well the story anyway, haven't really done that many side quests yet and haven't touched those challenge modes yet. Great game though.

I think the riddler trophies are pretty integral to the game. If you see one of the guys that will snitch and tell you where the trophies are it makes it much more challenging to keep him from hurting you but take everyone else out as well. Plus all the extra stuff they unlock and the satisfaction of cleaning a whole area out. Really it doesnt even take that long if you follow a youtube guide on it. Some riddles look impossible until you see it done.
