There is no official release date, at least not one that's been made publicly. In the interest of not being let down come that date, just wait for an official press release from Rockstar in regards to GTAIV's release date. Although the date Amazon.com gives could very well be true, it could just as easily be false so I suggest waiting for a Rockstar press release.
