Pre-ordered the calendar version on the NISA store as soon as I could, I'm pre-ordering any JRPG this gen. To bad I haven't played any of the installments of the series. I guess they never released in the EU? I would love to play the games for this sccene alone
Definitely getting it. Sad that this will be the last one though. Oh well. I'll just have to take my time and enjoy this one fully.
You should upload some scans of the calendar then. I wanted to get it but I needed to pay for it with trade-ins at Gamestop, which of course doesn't have the calendar (since it's NISA store exclusive). Oh well, at least I get the visual book and CD.Pre-ordered the calendar version on the NISA store as soon as I could, I'm pre-ordering any JRPG this gen. Nope, I've never heard of it.-Hoax-Neither have I until I saw a thread on the game posted in System Wars. Watched the trailer, was amazed, then preordered ASAP.
You mean better than 3.0 (HN GS review score)? Definitely. After all, IGN praised the firsttwo games (except for the latter's nasty bug), so there's no reason why it wouldn't be better than HN. Don't worry, I didn't play HN. And I probably won't until they have the guts to release a far better sequel. My copy has shipped out, so it should be here this week. I'm honestly not expecting great things from it, but I'm hoping it's better than Hyperdimension Neptunia.

Apparently NISA forgot to pack in the soundtrack for some of the copies of the game. If my copy doesn't have the soundtrack I'm going to be upset. NISA is aware of the problem though, so I would get one eventually with a claim form, but it would still be a hassle. Crossing my fingers I have the soundtrack.
Link? If it's true then I would advise you to tell whatever Gamestop employee may be there about the problem before you pick it up. They should open whatever copy they're going to give you and look inside. If not, they should do the same for all the other copies until they get to one with a CD. OR just shake it and hope that you hear the sounds from all 3 things crashing into the cardboard.Apparently NISA forgot to pack in the soundtrack for some of the copies of the game. That's hilarious, I remember watching this video ages ago but could never remember what game it came from. I got an actual email from the NISA store, so I don't have a real link. I pre-ordered it there, but at least they know of the problem, and it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to get a replacement soundtrack if need be.

Lol, I just assumed you preordered at retail. Also, why did god pick this week of all weeks for me to be sick? I was really looking forward to the game too. Usually when I'm sick I don't feel a whole lot of excitement or feelings for....well, anything, really. But that's not stopping me from playing it. Lastly, I discovered that the CD is not in a jewel case or anything like most are. It's in a sleeve. Here is an example, but for some reason either YouTube or my Flash isn't working right ATM. EDIT: Speaking of video, I checked my RSS bar from Kotaku for anything ATQ-related, and behold, there is! I didn't look at it because of potential spoilers. For me, the magic must happen when I first start the game, not when Kotaku starts it for me!! Ar Tonelico Qoga's Intro Is A Wonder To Behold (Video) Seriously, the way Kotaku labels their posts are LOL-ing to me. Actually, brackets are used instead of parentheses, but GS thought it was a video when I tried it and therefore wouldn't let me post it.i feel sorry for you that you ses a game with high quality anime drawings and you just feel it must for for 10 year olds how sadLooks like a game for 10 year olds. PASS!

This is the best JRPG i played in a while! amazing and hilarious! love it and love it!! also the best NISA game so far, heck it beats FF13 for me, the game is absolutely epic!
I've never even heard of it. Though I don't play any of these Japanese games or Anime related stuff I see alot of you playing. Ah looking at Final Stars sig. It scares me that a game that appears to have 13yr olds on the cover could be rated M.

The two girls on the cover are 16 and 17, but there are some characters in the game that look even younger than the main females and wear even less clothing.

SARAPATRA.
Maybe in a few weeks. I'm playing Tales of Vesperia right now and it really has me back in the mood for some JRPGs so maybe when I finish that up I'll get this next. I had considered getting Hyperdimension Neptunia, but the overwhelming feeling I had the game was going to be terrible has unfortunately been backed up by reviews so I'm passing on it. Ar Tonelico looks to be better though.Texas2089
Lower your standards going into it. Ar Tonelico is by no means as good as any Tales game, RPG wise. It seems the main draw of the game is dialog and character interaction.. the RPG elements almost feel tacked on, but in a good way.

Oh I'm definitely not expecting it to be anything close to as good ToV (not much else is lol). I'm just looking for a decent JRPG. Doesn't have to be anything great, just good enough to hold my attention. There is an extreme lack of good games coming out right now so I need something.I've never even heard of it. The game is rated M because of cursing and suggestive situations, just like other M rated games of different genres. I guess people that don't watch anime think all cartoons are just for children. To those people I'd suggest shows like Ghost in the Shell and Samurai Champloo to understand how good anime can be, and that it isn't all just for children.

New Nick Jr. show, because cartoons are for children.

LOL, Qoga defecates all over FFXIII.
That game doesn't deserve to even be mentioned in this thread, as this is a thread about JRPGs.
Scianix.. that gif on the last page... I think I'm traumatized. MrSelf-Destruct
Good. Glad I proved my point.
