Are all Playstation products made in China now?

My ps1 is made in japan, my ps2 fat was made in japan and my friends launch ps3 was made in Japan, but I haven't seen a japan made playstation product (psp, vita, ps3) in a LONG time.  So did they move all production to China for the cheaper labor?  It doesnt matter to me alot but it used to be that Japanese made products were thought of as better quality.

well that's the market for ja....   japan is a 1e world country, so people actually get a paycheck over there. so yes Sony outsources, but don't worry overall 

Sony products probably are still the best made appliances around, from an engineering standpoint. it might be made in china, but you can bet your ass that Sony doesn't want to lose face. case in point the vita, this machine's build quality is just amazing. but i understand were your coming from. to see ''made in japan'' on the box.. screams quality... it just feels so much better.. but hey Sony's got to make a living, as do Microsoft or Apple. and they are also build in China.. its just how the world works i guess.....

The product quality from china has improved over the years and the Chinese economy is thriving from foreign firms investing that way, Sony isnt the only one moving labour intensive production to China, Apple, Nike, Microsoft, heck even BMW too

I know but in my mind Japanese made electronics, toys, gadgets were always thought of being top of the line futuristic stuff.

Most of the consoles are assemble in china as you talk, partial of them are in other place.but quality is good also, use the same standard..... cheers....
