I understand that NCsoft has made some kind of deal with sony about making games so that would be good, anything else on teh horizon that looks promising or are MMO's gonna stick to teh PC?
Yeah there are a few mmos on the horizon. One is "The Agency" a spy mmo or something being made for PC and PS3. Another is the Ramayana 3393 AD an mmo based on indian mythology. Both are TBA, but we can probably expect 2008 or 2009. Also, Sony has made some deal with NCsoft so that may also result in some mmos. Whether or not these will be free is to be determined, there is a chance they may be.
nsoft is remaking one of there mmo's from the ground up on the ps 3. not sure wich one.
they also said it will be free to play.

Do you by chance have a link to the confirmation? If so im super happy but the gw layout for controls wont really lend itself to a controller. Although you can use a mouse and keybaord on a PS3 right?
The Agency, as people have said, and also FFXI if you have the 20 or 60GB PS3 (don't know about the 80GB). Although I don't know if this counts to you since you're just using the backwards compatibility with the old PS2 MMO - all the same, if you can get your hands on a copy of the game then it still runs fine on PS3 (there's a specific update for online-enabled bc games for free in the PS store).
