Agreed. If Capcom doesn't go multi-plat with ALL of their games, then I hope their company goes under, which I know will never happen.....
I'm surprised GS hasn't jumped on this story yet and had it plastered on the front page.

They'll end up selling more copies of the PS3 version since that's where its biggest fanbase is. Still, it does seem a little fishy where Capcom was saying about a month ago that DMC4 is strictly an exclusive to PS3, now all of a sudden it's going multi-platform. Seems to me that there was some money being slipped under the table from Microsoft.Flame_Blade88Wait a second I'm a Devil May Cry fan who owns a 360 and doesn't want to spend 600 dollars on a PS3. No, because a few of you single console fanboys are fans doesn't mean the PS3 has the fanbase or that it will sell more. Not to mention these kinds of games sell well on the 360, and Ninja Gaiden was a huge success which is a similar game. A lot of people own more than one console, and enjoy playing games... not whining about why one game is one one console and no the other.

I'm not a fanboy, but I do think Microsoft can get sneaky, I never really did like them to begin with. I never had just one console per generation, I'm just saying all my friend who have a 360 don't really care for DMC.
yeah but sony has a bigger fan base for these games, don't be unrealistic that why sony is so huge because almost everyone who had a sony console also bought those games like DMC, thats why MGS2 flopped on the xbxo, once Sony builds up more of a base more games will come!a476869

I'm sure eventually Dead Rising will come to the PS3... but the PS3 cost a lot of money to develop for, is harder to develop for, and has far less install base. Meaning it will cost them a lot, and their return may not even be worth it right now. It's the exact same reason why Capcom games weren't ported to the XBOX, the PS2 had many more gamers willing to shell out the cash for a game, why spend the money porting over something that might not even sell well on the original XBOX.

They jsut made a tool fro devs so it will be easier to be develop for.
i agree, we'll just have to wait and see, but this is capcom, they hate sony remember that.davez82Capcom doesn't hate Sony. It's that Mikami guy that used to work for Capcom that hates Sony. Capcom has done nothing but help Sony rise to the top with games like Resident Evil, Onimusha, Devil May Cry, etc. If you remember back in the early PS1 days, Resident Evil helped put quite a bit of Playstations into many households. I know that was MY reason for getting a PS1.
yet if no developer has the balls to make exclusives early on for the ps3, who will buy a ps3?It is only at the beginning of ps3's life cycle.
as more consoles are being sold ..the devs would revert back to making exclusive games for ps3.
no worries

I guess when they wanted "everyone to enjoy multiplat games" they forgot about Lost Planet and Dead Rising
What a bunch of HYPOCRITES!
Ok just take some time and look on the xbox 360 forums. Its not nearly as big of a deal over there. A lot of them could care less for DMC.hwardrocksFunny thing is you're partially right. Lots of them really just want every game, even if they don't care about it. They want to spite Sony because they are more about wanting everything. Don't know if I can word it without sounding too fanboy-ish but you are mostly right.
We will soon find out. Since the DMC4 incedent they said they want to spread thier audiance and go multiplatform. So this must mean every 360 game from them will be coming to ps3 also. If not then Capcom are a bunch of hypocrites.finalfantasy94DMC going multiplatform for 360 (currently over 9 million consoles sold worldwide) = smart business. Taking time to port Lost Planet and Dead Rising to PS3 audience (2 million currently + generous 1 million in Europe, total: 3 million by end of march) = not so smart. So porting the games to the PS3 doesn't really spread their audience by anything substantial. Therefore they're not hypocrites. Capcom is like any business and they're out for money - just take a look at all the sequels that they release! I don't see them spending time to port over old games to the PS3. Isn't Dead Rising like a year old already?
