so they could work on the game more like get rid of all bugs and make everything look and play better. GTA was delayed and other great looking games.

Of course they're good. They help devs work out the kinks and add some last minute extras.

Some delays are good, but alot of mainly just bogus release dates given out so that we dont forget about the game, the games tend tobe no where near done by this date so a month before they delay it to a more realalistic date, this is what happened with GTA4.

Delays are good, definately. Case and point of a game that should've been delayed: Madden '08.

If you have a little patience, delays are good for consumers. In most cases, they usually result in a better game. I doubt developers/publishers like them very much.

Whenever there is a delay for a game i want i get really bummed, but in the end its usually just a better experience. There are less bugs, shorter loading times and its just a better quality game.

I'd prefer if they just didn't give a release date until like 2 weeks before to be perfectly honest.
Imagine the excitement, it will come out of the blue all
"...Oh yeah and btw we're releasing GTAIV in a fortnight." then everyone will be all like;
"OMFG I hope they aren't just doing this for the lulz I'm so excited!!!"

delays are good to fix all the problems and stuff, but it gets annoying for the fans if a game gets delayed a week before the release.

It really depends; is it really worth waiting a year for a game like Lost Planet to only find out it is worse than the original? Was it worth waiting for the PS3 version of The Orange Box? I'm all for waiting if the end product was worth the wait.
