Don't you know reviews don't matter? Check out the user reviews, people are loving this game. If it were music or a movie would you care if "professional" reviewers didn't like it?

No, I'm not getting this game because it's a JRPG. No offense to people who like them, JRPG's just aren't my thing.
That statement would offend someone? I hope not. I'm going to get it, I think its getting a bad rap due to it being outdated graphixs and the combat system wasnt so good. No, I'm not getting this game because it's a JRPG. No offense to people who like them, JRPG's just aren't my thing.

It seems to me the only real problem is that the game is too easy... maybe they could give us a patch to raise the difficulty? They did this with Blue Dragon on xbox-360, making the game much more fun to play. At the same time, reviewers never complained about how easy Eternal Sonata was, not only that but it had some of the most annoying characters in a video game... yet it scored 8.5!
I'm not getting it because the game doesn't sound worth the $60 raven_squadoh yeah, to add to my statement i also don't see it worth 60 bucks. No rumble WTF? i mean its a small thing but it matters..

Actually the biggest complaints were that the story was meh, the characters were meh, and it was incredibly easy. Gamespot said the graphics were very good.
Anyway, in my opinion, anyone who completely ignores reviews is a fool. I'm not saying you have to take their word as law, but it's good to know if a game is total crap or not (and these people do have some credentials). Maybe 5's and 6's are a bit low, I don't know, I haven't played it, but it's obviously not a great game. Ever notice how generally all of the really well reviewed games are also really well recieved by gamers? It's crazy. ;)
That's not to say you won't enjoy a game that didn't get a great rating. I'm sure many will enjoy WKC, but that doesn't mean it's a good game.

Not really, for sequels reviewers tend to go with the flow... but for new ips they can be way off what the average gamer thinks.I have it. (still didn't play)
The sequel is coming out soon (this fall?) and I want to be up to date when it comes out. I'm also a good fan of JRPG and I guess a linear and predictable story cannot really be all that bad. The waiting thing is a usual thing in JRPG, you know, a line completing a circle is not all that different from old final fantasy white bars filling up... I don't see what the reviewers were thinking about, but that IS what a JRPG IS.
