I got it recently and haven't had any problems finding matches. I have to say though, i don't find it as fun as Battlefield 1942 or Call of Duty World at War - so maybe watch some videos of YouTube and see if the gameplay is for you.
Since I started playing MAG with the move controller, it's the only online shooter I play on ps3 these days, Since the 2.0 update I think it's the best online shooter on consoles by far.

Yes. True, but those numbers can change quite drastically if a big or a new shooter game comes out.
Mag still has a good number of players on it. Escalation gets enough people for matches really quick. But how come there are hardly any players in Interdiction? I finally downloaded that and I can never get an interdiction match because there's only 5 raven and 7 SVER and 0 Valor in the queue. Is it just bad? Or is it busy at specific times of day?

i hate MAg. the contrls are terrible. i tired playig it a week ago adn it wanted me to update the server list or somwthing like that. and i didnt feel like waiting 2 hours so refuse to ever play htat crap again

been a while ago but there's always lots of people playing...
its just that you gotta wait a while longer for the bigger matches, but sabotage is only with 60 players and takes less time to find...so it depends on what mode you play..but you should always find players in all modes..just gotta wait a while..
I have no issues finding people... Except in one of the DLC game modes, where are one point, there were only 9 people that showed up for me, and thats adding all the factions up.
