Are PS3 games from Canada compatible with USA Playstation 3 systems?

Should be. All of North America and Japan fall under the same region code.

Yes but more often than not you get stuck with that annoying bilingual (English and French) packaging that makes the backs of the case so very cluttered and unattractive to look at.

Yes but more often than not you get stuck with that annoying bilingual (English and French) packaging that makes the backs of the case so very cluttered and unattractive to look at.

Oh ya. the bilingual thing is a national law if i remember right. Kinda bizzare considering almost 90% of the population knows how to speak English. Here in Arizona there is a huge part of the population that doesnt speak English, but no rules like that for commercial products.

There are no regions when it comes to PS3 games. That is, to say, any PS3 can play any PS3 game, regardless of what country it was purchased in.

yea, they are.

and for the reason previously stated, I try to get as many games as I can from the US just because of the french thing in Canada

I've lived in western Canada my whole life and I don't think I've ever even MET someone who only knows French. This is my biggest pet peeve with Canada. Well, Henry Morgentaller being awarded the Order of Canada is actually, but that's a topic for another day.
