ive been through 2 360's and am done with em I was wondering if the Ps3 are not as faulty as the 360's as i cant find a reliable place to read about ( a site like xbox-scene for ps3's) any help or info would be great even some good resources. i really cant find anything on them so maybe its a good thing
i have mine since january 07, zero issues. My cousin bought a 360 this summer and changed it 4 times. just to illustrate a comparison, although unnecessary
My 360 gave me a scare at least 3 or 4 times since I got it about a year and a half ago. My PS3 since I got it...zero scares. However, I know 4 people that have a 360, and their's brokem between 1 and 3 times, I consider myself lucky, hope it holds up for Mass Effect, seeing as thats the only reason to keep a 360 to me.
Last time I heard it was that the PS3 had a 1% faulty return rate compared to 33% for the other console. Although I am pretty sure that they have fixed the new ones with a special chip or something.
electronics in general are unreliable, but as far as this discussion goes yeah the ps3 is more reliable than the 360 ... for now, microsoft is starting to roll out 360s withsmaller cooler (that means theydont get white hot its not a synonimous for hip) chips that give you a piece of mind, so those people that get the smaller cooler chips will have a much much better 360 on their hands thanthose that grabbed the ones that came with the chips they've been using since launch, so in time they will both be reliable systems to own no onewill haveto worry about crapping out on them but for now ps3 isabout 69% bettet than the 360.
