Are PSP screen "protectors" (thin plastic) worth it?

Do they really "protect" your PSP screen or do they actually "hurt" your screen in the long run? Like small particles (or maybe bubbles) being trapped between and then causing serious damage (or if any) and one might say it could have been better off w/o it?

Any tips and or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I am planning to get this if ever (the $ 0.01 one). Or is it some kind of scam sinc it's just a cent?

I might order a PSP bundle from amazon tonight. xD

they are what i use there brilliant, my PSP screen is still as clear and scratch free as the day i got it, as for the price, the seller probably overcharges for delivery to make up for the low price. Hori protectors are the ones you want as well.

They are essential in almost any situation that involves a large portable screen. Screens seem to be rather sensitive to scratches.

ayt thanks. :) Too bad I can't order a bunch of those HORI's although it says 1 cent each if you order multiple it's gonna be in multiple shipments.. so when I ordered 35 of them it's actiually 1 cent + 5 USD shipping times 35 xD damn! I thought it was a steal xD

I use them. The PSP screen can scratch so I'd rather use a screen protector.

Yes they work good but they are tricky to put on you gotta watch for the air bubbles.

Is there a specific way to put on these screen protectors? Whenever I try, I always end up with bubbles on the screen and then the thin sheet is ruined.

exactly. I personally recommend the universal screen protectors from Walmart/Target etc. You just trim it to fit along the grid lines, then peel off the back and apply to your psp. then you smooth out the bubbles. EZ and looks good. and if the screen protector starts to get old, u just peel it off and put on a new one. If i had an Iphone or something , id have a screen protector on that too.

I tried finding some of the popular "Hori" screen protectors but the shipping is either ridiculous or the size of the sheet is smaller than my psp slims screen. Where is the best place to buy the screen protectors in a group of 10-20?

Oh okay. Thanks for everyone's replies again.

So, other than a visual disturbance. Does these bubbles damage the screen in the long run? Or they're just ugly and that the worst it can be?

It's really hard to put on the screen protector flawlessly. If you do manage to do it perfectly, it will certainly help protect your screen from scratches.

So if it isn't placed perfectly it won't protect the system? Please explain :(

Nah, it'll still protect it but it wont look as good. I mean I personally hate air bubbles on a PSP screen.
