Pros of owning a Go

  • Save-state feature
  • Better screen
  • Easier to carry around
  • Faster ad-hoc and Infrastructure
  • Ability to use the DS3 (DualShock 3) on the Go
  • Analog clock and calendar (It even marks your birthday)

Cons of owning a Go

  • No UMDs
  • If you don't have Windows installed on your PC or if you don't have a PS3, you're forced to download the games directly to the Go, which is kinda slow compared to the 2 other methods of downloading PSN stuff

the psp go is not really worth it. some of the games aailable on the UMD(particualrly orlder games) are not available on the go because it doesnt hold UMDs. get the psp 3000.

As a former owner of a 1000 and current owner of Go, pros of the 3000 far out weight the pros that the Go has to offer. I don't like to admit it, but the Go is a gimmick; looks great, but after the "newness' wears out, I realized how blind I was...ugh

Don't forget about the PSN prices. You have no choice but to get the games on PSN. I like how the psp vs psp go titles gets creative lol. jk.

Listen to Hockey73 for-sure...

... In all of the time I have been around these forums, Hockey has been some of the more reasonable, balanced viewpoints I have read, and he/she (sorry, but I don't want to make a gender error - not all hockey fans are male) has made some of the best arguments for or against a piece of software or hardware...

When the Go came out, Hockey and I were on the same side: We both wanted one. Hockey got one and I didn't because of the back compatability issues. Now here Hockey has been a HUGE human being in admitting the error of the initial impressions and now a fairly long-time user of a Go...

I would look at that post as one of the most honest and true assessments of the PSP Go as you will ever see on the Net or in person.

That's huge of you, Hocky... my already respectful view of you has jumped yet again!

Laters pee-pol!
