Are there still people playing ModNation Racers online?

Are there still people playing this game online? Or is it basically dead?

I only ask because I've been meaning to pick this game up for a while now. I rented it a few times back in the past, when it was fairly new. I had so much fun playing it I just could hold myself any longer not owning it. Easily one my favorite kart racers I've played. I mean, I could go on.

I'm worried once I buy it I'll only be greeted with a very scarce online community, you know, with it being an older PS3 title and all. Also, it doesn't help with LBP Karting out on the scene either.

I still own and play Modnation and it is still active. While not as active as it once was, there is still plenty of players in the modspot to communicate with and enough players to race against online. 

I also play little big planet kart racing, thanks to it being on + and I would say that mod nation is with out doubt more active than that.  

i haven't play that game, but it is currently in my wish list. i do plan to get that game one day
