I bought it today, I didn't really play that much because I'm knee deep in Final Fantasy 12 at the moment and having alot of fun with that. I will say that the opening cinematics are stunning, and very fun to watch. I already know I love the gameplay since I loved the demo...can't wait to dive into the game a little bit later.TheSystemLord1

Folklore will be a Christmas gift for me, along with Haze and Uncharted.

I like 12 alright, more the gameplay than the story...I don't know...Square tried to get too formal with the story this time. I understand it ok but its definitely one of the more boring stories...nothing fantastic about it if you know what I mean...TheSystemLord1

IMO I consider it to be the second worst Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 2 being the worst. It had an awful story, soundtrack, and the characters were bland and boring as well. BIG dissapointment for a game to be considered Final Fantasy.

IMO I consider it to be the second worst Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 2 being the worst. I had an awful story, soundtrack, and the characters were bland and boring as well. BIG dissapointment for a game to be considered Final Fantasy.

9 and 10 were wayyyyyyy worse, i thought this one was a step in the right direction

It is about plitical power stuggles, and mixed with a bit of Final fantasy layout. Not too much deep character developments in a way. But it is still a good way to go, for people who like challenging instead of grinding all the way to lvl 99 and beat the final boss by using couple limit breaks.

And Yes I am buying it soon, but I am renting it from Gamefly first, due to the fact I have no time to stop by Gamespot this week. lol

Final Fantasy IX was the best...... imo.

The soundtrack of 12 is one aspect where the series really misses Nobuo Uematsu. The only decent track I've come across so far is the Lowtown theme, and I've just teamed up with Larsa to go to the Holy mountain (the name escapes me).

People rip on Blue Dragon (its one of my favorite RPG's of all time) but that game has an amazing soundtrack, the Sheep Tribe Village theme in particular screams Final Fantasy.

I do love the gameplay of 12, not the Gambit and License system though. I find going through the licenses tedious, there aren't enough rewards to make spending all of those points and the time necessary to allocate them worthwhile. I dunno, I have high hopes for 13, and 12 is great don't get me wrong, but I hope they go back to the way things were.

Ok,, you all are making me thinkthis game is actually good lol. I have nice stuff yea, but im not rich. I need to save some money for "all my other toys, food, bills" and RandC and Haze and Cod, and AC, and Drakes. If it ends up good, its gonna kill me money wise, and ill end up buying it :cry: hardly nothing for a few moths at launch, and then a tun "all at one time!"

Yeah I understand the story perfectly, but my problem is that its so...ordinary...where is the Sephiroth of the game? Those characters are what make Final Fantasy awesome...maybe I'm just not far enough in though.

That was one of my beefs with it too, no reoccuring baddie. Least not an interesting one.

My taste in FF never seems to match up with anyone else but 8 really was by far my favorite with 7 a close second

I've played the demo twice, and during the second playthrough I really began to appreciate the game. The way you have to figure out the boss fights with the pictures is awesome, especially the last boss in the demo.

The use of motion control via the SixAxis is awesome, and shows that the controller can really add to the game. It's used in such subtle, yet effective, ways. I'm be heading out to my store any day now to pick it up.

I'm stunned, I loved both of those. 8 was my least favorite because all you did was summon over and over again...

And to the TS, I will buy Folklore the second I get some cash.
