Are you all happy with PSN now?

A lot of us got our PS3s before 07 hit and we watched our platform crawl and now we're FINALLY starting to get games, support, MORE exclusives, and MUCH more online content. (I'll place a link up on the more exclusive parts if there's even a cent of doubt.)

Many of us also had this forum plagued with people talking about how they were getting "bored" or "Unhappy" with their $600 machine during the first 5 months.

My topic question not only pertains to PSN, but the Playstation 3 in general. I for one think Sony is finally getting the train started for a real competition this fall and winter.;)

So, for those who were unhappy before, are you feeling a bit better?

I'm still expecting them to buck up on the Euro front. It seems we always get shafted! Sure, we get Motorstorm updates quicker, but paid content, like Tekken online, the supposed price drop, the demos a week late, the fact that I have to make a US account to get stuff, even the console arriving late. I think Sony needs a swift kick in the pants to remind them that the US market isn't the only one in the world that matters.

Really. It's not pre-PR bull!

No, they need a system that is identical or as close as possible to all regions (regarding content). Also, the interface is very slow and clunky. I understand that it's a browser based site, but I really think it is in need of a nice sleek interface.

There is just too much wasted space on there right now and it seems very unpolished.

It's gotten better but I still want more. I wish the PS3 had a dashboard like the 360 and we could talk to friends while playing different games. The 360 dashboard is so nice and organized and easy to use, the XMB sucks and the PS store is cheesy looking but it's getting there. Once this great games come rolling in, in the next few months I'll be happy since my 360 is dead. Another thing that really urks me is how the PS store is updated once a week. Before my 360 took a dirt nap, Microsoft updated the marketplace 6-7 times A DAY! Come on Sony, quit being so damn lazy. What is that? The servers are so damn clogged when I come home from work and I start downloading all the stuff. They need to spead it out.Rich1631

Sorry getting to your photos, music and videos is much easier in the XMB, the dashboard for the 360 is nice but it needs organizational help.... a lot of things are buried in obscure menus. While the XMB everything seems to be where it should be. BTW Live marketplace WAS NEVER being updated 6-7 times a day, it updates pretty much every wednesday.

It's getting better, but I still see plenty of areas that need improvement. With the huge back catalog of old ps games, I can't understand why they can't have a weekly PSN game installment.dru26

I'm thinking there aren't as many PS games on PSN for the same reason there aren't as many N64 games in the Virtual Console. That generation of games takes a bit more to emulate and test for.... just a hunch though.

Hmmm... Live has the same problems in Europe as well. Its a EU copyright law thing, not a sony thing. Thats why Apple's had such a hard time with getting their iTunes store up over there, the laws are very restrictive. Tell the EU to let up a bit, we're becoming a global economy whether they like it or not!

once we are able to invite/be invited/find are freinds in a game and jump into a ranked/unranked match, more demos that are actually out before the game is, more classics and arcade titles, no limit of freinds, give me this ill be happy

It improving...but it needs to continue to improve. The fact that a consistent stream of demos has been released doesnt mean all the problems are solved.

There is always room for improvment.

Well yesterday I thouht the PSN had lots of goods.

• NBA LIVE 2008 Demo
• Stranglehold Demo
• Motorstorm add-ons
• Ninja Gaiden Sigma add-on

I think it's getting there. Just waiting for some WarHawk add-ons!

I love everything ab out my PS3 except one thing. The controller. The controller design is over 12 years old. Please update it Sony. The L2 and R2 buttons hurt my fingers really bad from holding them down for long periods of time playing Motorstorm and Formula 1 CE. and switch out the d-pad with the analog pad. and lastly get rid of the analog x-button. you have to press it sometimes real hard to get boost on motorstorm, and on formula 1 ce it doesnt even give you full throttle unless you press down real hard with the tip of your thumb. forces you t opuse the L2 and R2 buttons on the game for brake and throttle.

All I have to say is that my 360 hasn't got any lovin' in a while. WARHAWKheyheydoh

I gotta say we are seeing some great improvements. I remember back in the day when we would barely get demos, now we are getting like 2 a week. Still not XBL but im satisfied seeing that its free.Blitz_Nemesis
