StarYoshi bought the 40GB lawlDoctorBadass
Yep, and I'm proud of it. I disowned my PS2 when it stopped reading discs. I bought a 120gb hdd and a 4 port hub (for when needed, hasn't been needed yet) for less than the price of the 80gb, so I'm happy.
How do play all the great PS2 games?DoctorBadass
Already did, you know, 4 years ago when I still cared about the PS2. I'm glad Sony is moving away from BC.
Okay, but I guess you've never heard of playing a game again for fun
But thats your loss
I'll play some Duke 3D now, something you wouldn't like

Don't assume that I don't replay games. I don't replay "meh" games, but I oft play games more than once if they're special. See: Super Mario RPG, Mass Effect, and others. I don't have time to play PS2 games when I have to maintain a PC, the Big 3, and the Small 2 (PSP and DS). It's time to move on for the most part as far as the PS2 goes for me. I still play some cube and box games, though.
Nah. I played MGS 2 a while back and still have MGS 3 Subsistence and don't really want to go all the way back to play the first MGS. It would just burn time that I could spend playing other games... like MGS4?Generic_Dude
Really? March 19 to July 2008 is a long ass space

haha duke 3d is terrible anymore
Definitely not. Unless they're talking about MGS: The Twin Snakes for the GameCube. But they're not.MGS1 is featured as a PS2 game? No graphical improvements tho right?
GenTom
If it's made to be fully compatible with the 80GB , yes
If not then I'll consider it although I'd rather not have to use my PS2
I preordered it off Amazon. I have tried MGS and MGS2 and didn't care for either. I've decided to give the series another try. I remember trying to get into MGS2 after being in love with the first Splinter Cell. I decided I wanted more stealth action, so I tried MGS2. MGS is so different, I got way turned off.
So, it gets one more try. :)
I am still considering it...it is actually a steal for the price. I am also wondering if it is coming on blu-ray but the only reason I would want it is for the substance version and the director's cut.
Now here is something. Would you buy one set or 2 (one for use and other for future purposes)?
mods move this to PS2 Boards. pl0x.mymomroxThis thread is being used to inform people with a PS3 that if they haven't played the other MGS's and want to play 4 they can get this to understand the story rather than going everywhere looking for the games.
So it should stay here.:D

Haven't noticed? Good 'ol Gamespot removed them.
It's now the Legacy Board now for last-gen systems. But I think this should stay here for PS3 owners that want to get into MGS.:DPlease Log In to post.
