I'll get the WiFi model eventually. No rush though because I only bought my PSP just last year and don't have anywhere near the games or play time out of it that I want yet. I joined the bandwagon kind of late. I'm not ready to move on. The PSP already feels advanced enough for me.
Wifi for sure - for me personally and the way I anticipate using the Vita I will have no need of the 3G!
3G all the way!
ummm i mean WiFi. 3G = another bill I have to pay and I don't even see the point in having 3G for this device.
The 3G is a cool feature. I always like getting the top models, but I am still thinking if I should get the wi-fi only model or the 3G model. I mean I don't go anywhere much. So maybe the wi-fi model would be good? I don't know. :P

Just get the wi-fi. 3G is already outdated and it's just another thing to run the battery down quicker. It's not like you're missing out on multiplayer since you can't play games online over 3G. And it's $50 more expensive along with a contract.
PS vita Wifi for me. I have rarely used the on-line on my PSPs so Wifi PSvita for $250.00 will do me fine.

Yeah, your right. I think I am better off with the wi-fi.

That makes no sense.... Anyway, in the long run I will probably end up wanting the 3G model, so I'll probably just go ahead and get that. I probably won't use it for gaming, but rather for things like browsing the internet and downloading small files like music. I also won't activate the 3G until I'm ready to use it. Oh, and did you know that attendees hated the AT&T announcement? Seeing as i can't place calls using the PS Vita, I'm not that worried. That makes no sense.... oops, I meant wi-fi. :P It's just an embarassing mistake! I edited the post!
I'm going to wait the year or two for the eventual PSV 2000 with 4G. I want a media device on the go like an IPhone, but I don't want to pay that much money for a "music-first" device. The Vita with 4G would be perfect (if it ever comes out lol). A "gaming-first" device that has capabilites to be online all the time.
The reasons why I'm not to keen on 3G have already been said on this board. I'm not paying 300 for my first true handheld media device (I don't thinka PSP really counts) with outdated internet support. I'll wait for the price drop and supped up PSV.

The iPhone isn't a "music-first" decive. It's a "phone-first" device. Hence the name, iPhone.
well nice to find out that for the 3g one you have to pay for a plan (i havn't really been following the vita but I do want one eventually), so since I'm basically getting it for the sp games then definitely the wifi one (that is after a few months so sony can fix any problems with it). BTW, when is the vita coming out?
3g because i use t-mobile and i'm on the go most of the time
From what I heard, if you use 3g, then you have to go with AT&T (they have an exclusive contract like with the iPhone).
One thing to keep in mind though, don't get sucked in by all that 4g jargon. From what I understand, it's a marketing term that is misleading...
check this out
For myself, wi-fi is good enough.
I will be going for the 3g model. I use the net alot. Also i love playing online. So i can shell out 50 dollars for the 3g one.
3G for me.i prefer the top model. even though i probably wont use the 3G but at least i know my device has that feature
Based off of people's responses, it looks like the 3G model is going to sell terribly.
I hope Sony is at least aware of how small the demand is for it, so they don't overproduce it or anything...
I'm going to go with the Wi-Fi model, cause A.) It's cheaper B.) I don't have to pay for 3G C.) 3G sucks now, because 4G is rolling in. lol
