Are you fine with playing PS3 on SDTV?

I am. I'm already enjoying my PS3 on SDTV. I only have 2 games so far, MGS4 and Oblivion. Graphics are already amazing. I'm not a graphics fan so I won't buy an HDTV just to enhance graphics. :)

I could clearly read texts playing 2-3 meters away. :)

I play on my HDTV most of the time. Sometimes I need to capture footage from it for movies n stuff...It feels very awkward to say the least.

yup graphics still great but the downside is sometimes i can't read some texts properly, i have to go near it..especially now my eye-sight are a blur already.. my tv is sdtv sony trinitron 25inch w/40gb ps3 region1 u.s. ntsc/uc. hopefully to upgrade d tv asap or maybe christmas.

I don't really have any problem with text on my SDTV when I play MGS4 and Uncharted.

LOL! We have the same except mine is region 3 asian. Hehe! Get your eye checked. I play 2-3 meters away from the tv and I can still clearly read the text.

I played it on an 27" SDTV when i got my PS3(MGS4 bundle), and I was like, "I bet this would look soo much better on an HDTV". Less than a week later I went out and bought an 57" HDTV and the difference was amazing. Like, i could read all the little text when I look at enemies with the Solid Eye equipped, and I could see all kinds of neat new things when playing Pixel junk Monsters.(I thought the character was a bug before)

All in all, it made a huge difference and I believe it's how the PS3 is meant to be played, I don't think I could go back to the SDTV...

Once you go HD, you never go back.

I play in 1080i. I switched back from component cables to the old AV cables (red, yellow, white) and I almost gouged my eyes out.

I never tried to play on an SD tv... I guess it's because I am a graphics kind of person and enjoy watching eye candy at its greatest quality.
