I've read/seen reviews about this game and complains seem to be simple gameplay, mentioning that by mashing circle button you can make some bizarre combos, also those amazing jutsus are made by pressing circle after pressing triangle two times, so, Circle seems to be the key here. There's the HDD install too, which doesn't seem to help eliminating or at least making loading short and the game does not have online vs.

There are not much reviews out there (like here @ GameSpot... no review yet), still, the game looks amazing to me and gameplay judging from the demo, it's very fun. Anyone else's getting it?

Well I'm a bit of a Naruto fan and it looked good from previews. But I'll see, if it flops and averages 5.3 on reviews (critics and users), I'll pass.

I'd have the game right now if it wasn't for the fact that it comes out a day or two later where I am in Canuck as usual

The game seems to be a classic Naruto game with better graphics and less characters. I guess it could be nice if you are a really serious fan, don't have a PS2 and can't play the Ultimate Ninja games... but, otherwise, it looks like the same game with better graphics.

Had the same feeling with the last DBZ game. Better graphics, but nothing new on the horizon.

Kinda, it's also a 3D fighting game but with better graphics, gameplay and fashion super attacks, there's also a camera angle which i find very cool for it's gameplay. Talking about Dragon Ball... i would love to see a next-gen game based on the first series, Dragon Ball, but an adventure game would fit better

It won't get near 5, so far i found these scores:
IGN: 84
Meristation: 85
GameTrailers: 75

Watch some gameplay videos, i don't like Naruto but still i'm getting the game

I'm picking up the LE today. The stylized fighting and spot on art along with pick-up-and-play controls is what I loved about the demo. I'm not even a really Naruto fan. My brother is though so he's getting the LE stuff.

I'm not sure why people are complaining about the simple gameplay now. If you've played the other Ultimate Ninja games, they're all exactly the same. Circle does your attack. Square throws stuff. X is jump. Triangle is to use chakra.

What I like about Storm is that the camera just works so well. Whether you're far or in front of the screen, it works. I'd pick it up, but I'm limiting myself a lot this month.

Ok yes the graphics are great, but other then that it really doesn't differ that much from the previous ones. Why don't they go and make an interesting Naruto game. Maybe where, I don't know, the game is based off the Shippuuden part of the series, hint hint ;)

Sigma has a god damn ton of combos to choose from, the simplest being most of the time pressing Square like a hundred times for most of the weapons, but there are lots of variations from there, there are so many that at least the people i know end up with just 3, one being fast, other strong and one for midair. Also you have other attacks that are not combos.

I don't think its a good idea to compare button mashing on an action game with a fighting game. Easy commands don't mean boring gameplay, i don't think anyone would like to press something like "hold X for 3 seconds, press UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT + SQUARE" to activate a jutsu, the simpler it is, the most chances to have fun with friends who never played it before.

Who would like to have to print a move list or check it pressing start every time to enjoy a game anyway?

I have been following the Naruto games for quite some time now and I have to say, by far, this one is the best. I've played all the series games released in Japan (up until Naruto Accel 2) and this is no different other than the 3d fighting and beautiful graphics. Challenge 8/10 - Only because it does get quite repetitive do I mark off two points. It is challenging as you go up the mission ranks and fights become harder as they add on more task. Think of Soul Caliber 4. Controls 9/10- One point off for the strange camera angling that gets frustrating when your trying to collect items. Unlockables 8/10- two points off for the repetitive nature of the item collecting and having so many! Characters 9/10- All the characters are balanced and have the same fighting scheme so I took off a point. Storyline- 8/10- They cut a lot of the story out when they could have easily animated it. Overall- Everything else gets a 10 because the game is overall well done. With the option to put the game in either Japanese or English it makes it that much better. The Specials are nice and each character has more than one. CyberConnect and Bandai/Namco really accomplished what why set out to do and that was to make it possible to live the Naruto series in a video game. You really do feel like your placed right in the middle of Konoha! The battles feel like your living the story line. Sounds are wonderful and you can enjoy the soundtrack to the game when you unlock them. Very color interface and the graphics and animation are breath taking. My overall score of the game is a 9/10 and I would highly recommend you play it.

yup i love naruto the combat is fun when playing it (played the demo) and the story is intense aswell, and if they have follwed the manga/anime closely then it will be a lengthy game even though anime and manga are so far ahead

I love Ninja Gaiden Sigma has director's cut and more new weapons on Blu-Ray than original the game on Xbox.

I consider, Have a two-players and split-screen on Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm game?
