Are you getting the $100 Special Edition of GTAIV?

The one @ Gamespot with the Duffel Bag, the Lockbox, the Art book and the Audio CD of tracks from the game that I'm assuming you can listen to in your car when driving around in REAL life. Its $90 or $100 or something like that. I think it's totally worth it. Hell, the guide is probably about $25 more bucks.

My question is do you have put the full money amount down when you reserve the game? Say if I wanted to do it (reserve a copy) today at around 10:30 this morning. Do I have to give the salesperson $100 today and they'll call me up around 4/29 and say it's ready to be picked up?

You usually give them a deposit of 5 or 10 bucks when you first reserve it and then pay the rest when you pick up the game. It most often applies to collectors and special edition games as well.bearded_snowman

The regular $60 version will do just fine...

GTAIV is one of the very few games that I would spend a lot of extra money on. I really like the stuff that comes with the special edition, and it's certainly better then dev interviews and trailers that most special editions come with.

You get some cool stuff, so when you combine that with the mega release that is GTAIV, and the fact that it's my most anticipated game this year, there's no way I won't have the premo version of it.;)

the lockbox isn't very useful because a theif could just take the whole thing with him and open it later.

art book and soundtrack, I don't really care about, gta usually has licensed music and the art is nothing special.

I do need a duffel bag, but I'll just buy one seperately.

doesn't matter what you keep it in, a theif can still just take the whole thing.

I couldn't have said it better myself. GTA IV is probably the only special edition game I'm buying this year.

Well I would love the audio tracks. If their as good as the last 4 GTA "counting the PSP and PS2 story ones" But I would hope that CD has the commercials also. In fact im in the process of making a "maybe just a slide show" to the GTA SA commercials. I still own SA, need to buy VC to get those. Or at least rent it.

But for 100 bucks. I know I can just plug the audio into my 16 track "Multi-track recorder" and grab it.

Funny thing is the game could be bad. And Id still get at least 4 good hours of enjoyment from it from the radio and driving around.

Negative. The regular edition will do just fine. I am playing Grand Theft Auto IV and that's all that matters. The rest I could really do without. For those who want to spend extra $ on the SE more power to you. While it is a anticipated release it will not be the only GREAT game coming out this year. We have Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots to name one on the way.....

That last GTA was complete trash. I don't see anything special in this game.
