I think RE5 is way over hyped. I'm an RE fan (but not diehard) but I didn't like the demo. It's just like RE4 in HD. I'm going to skip this game. I think RE5 is just for diehard RE fans.

I see a lot of complains about RE5 but in the end they would still buy it. Is it just because it's RE?

EDIT: Most of you guys didn't understand my question so I'll make it clear..

"Are you going to buy RE5 IFit's not RE?" Because I think most of you are getting RE5 because it's RE. So what IF it's not RE? Let's say RE never exisited and all of a sudden this game came out. Are you still getting it?

I'm gonna buy Resident Evil 5, but I still think Resident Evil 2 and 4 were the best games in the series.

I'm buying this game for sure. I could care less if its just RE4 with updates. To me, thats sounds wonderful, having beaten 4 numerous times.

It is RE. Just not the same RE. People that are fans of the new gameplay style are obviously going to buy this. Why reinvent the wheel when RE4 was so sucessful? Classic RE had the same gameplay for 5 straight games, it was time for a change.

Agreed. I'm not entirely sure what people expected. I mean, you CAN even switch it to GoW style controls, but then people gripe that it's not RE anymore and that it doesn't RE's usual difficulty. Keep it the same, and they say there's not enough "difference." Honestly, I really have no idea what people expected. An entirely new/redone game? But then you'd have the "it's not RE" people.

haha opposed to what? the camera thats in the corner of the ceiling and u cant see what your doing? this is how gameplay evolves. Look at the MGS series. They started out with that camera, and now they switched to the 3d camera. The only difference between this game and older Resident evil games are the zombies and puzzles are tweaked a bit. Im still buying it

So you're saying that RE5 has the same problematic fixed camera of RE1? i didn't find that at all.

uhh no. Im trying to explain to people that are saying that its not Resident evil that it actually is, but just the new generation of resident evil.

The series should not evolve only to be like every other game on the market. I applaud Capcom for being unique with their controls.

I think the problem is that everyone wants to "run and gun" but that is not what RE is about.

I think I'm going to buy it, but I will say that Dead Space is the new King of Horror games as of now.

1) It is RE what the hell are you talking about.
2) RE4 in HD or not, RE4 was frickin awesome and if RE5 was similar then of course I will love it.
3) I loved the demo. I played it on both the 360 and PS3 and I'm getting it ASAP on the PS3.

If "horror" isn't as deep as it was in previous installments it doesn't mean the game will suck. There is still "survival-action" and that was enough for me to enjoy RE4 and now RE5 soon.

The Demo was definitely different, but I think I still will get it. Just not as dark as the others

Bump.

I explained the question because most of you didn't get it. Hehehe.
