Is it possible?

You would get sucked into the ps3 and not be able to focus on studies.. ?

Grades/GPA suffer?

Self Control is key. I noticed it was easier when my mom got pissed with my overgaming.

yeah, although it's summer now, i had my ps3 in my dorm with me this entire year in college and did fine. it's definitely possible to focus on your studies, just gotta manage your time wisely and get work done before hand so you can reward yourself with games after. also, it's always nice to get work done with a group of friends so that when you get back to your room you're free of work. =]

nah. the key to being a good college student is being organized and scheduling everything. i play ps3 when i have nothing scheduled- like classes, work, parties, studying etc. and you have to be mature enough to know when to get off and get enough sleep and such.

Yes and I have a 4.0 along with work. I just give my self a set amount of time. MGS4 is making it hard because I get into a cutsceen and dont want to stop and have to either watch it again or miss it all together.

Well I go to a pretty hard school and I am about to get out of there with a B.A. in computer science... umm I had my fair problems with games and school work but I am getting out.

I know I could have been an A student though without any games in my life, but then again it was a part of me. Good news is with me finishing MGS4 I think I dont have to take my PS3 back with me to school when I go back for my senior year... yay

Dean's list HEAR I COME... ooops I mean HERE I come...lol.

I guess I need to study just a bit more.:D

Every console + Gaming PC, 30+ hours a week work, full time student, 3.5 GPA. It's pretty simple really.

I actually have a pretty early scheduled classes, so after Im done comes work and then do the work/study and game all night/go out. It seems I have a lot more free time now than I ever did in highschool, and that's without a job.

I'm in college and play my PS3 and other systems quite a bit.

I'm in my senior year and nearly have a 3.8 GPA. If you neglect your studies than of course your GPA will drop...

i use to like partys but since i quit drinking and smoking (had some really really bad experiences with them both) i really dont go out much anymore had to many bad experiences with partys all of them turned into fights and was really retarded so now i just chill with my friends and family since i barely get to see them so its all good.

its just time management, and things will go easy

work- 30hrs/wk

school- senior @ UNLV B.A. in Mechanical Engineering

social life= going to the strip (clubs) :D

GPA = 3.2

playing= MGS4, GTA4

you just got to know when to play and when not to play, as long as u focus in school and work u will end up having time for social life and gaming :P

Texas A&M CC

2 Jobs

3.5 GPA

I played my PS3 with what precious free time I had, it's a good way to relax by doing something you like to do. Social life didn't suffer from the PS3 as much as it did from the second job. I pulled it off though cuz I don't study, it's kind of a rule of mine, but yeah, you'll be fine.

I've got a job, take classes, and play games regularly. Mostly just time management skills and knowing when to quit...which I still have a hard time prying myself away from a game at times. :P

Don't have colleges in Sweden but I go to a university and play quite much ps3/PC games and my studies are going fine. It's just common sense to do you're school work instead of fun stuff if you have to choose.

I've been playing my PS3 like crazy since launch.

Just graduated college with a 3.7 GPA.

All-Conference baseball player. (20+ hours/week)

And had enough time to score high on the MCAT.

Starting med school in August.

Needless to say, gaming throughout college is not a problem if you manage your time well. I'll get back to you on whether or not gaming in med school is possible.
