Are you one of those who can't play previous gens anymore because of graphics?

Reason of the topic is because I've read some posts that they can't stand playing previous gens anymore because of crappy graphics.

To answer the topic question...I'm not. I still play some PS2 games and sometimes even PS1. :)

Of course, I mean I have a PS3 and the only excellent game is DMC4, which isn't even an exclusive. I play PS2 games mainly though, need to get rid of my PS1 games.ClassicPlayer

Last night I was playing FFIX (for PS1). The in game graphics were very pixelated, but I was surprised with the movie scenes. Amazing graphics por the PS1...

From the 2D era, I don't have any trouble.

From the early 3D era, say, PSone era, it can be tough. The graphics are usually very pixelated and are extremely blocky. I get over it after a little bit of time, but it's a bit jarring at first.

Thankfully I do get over it, otherwise I wouldn't be replaying the masterpiece that is Final Fantasy VII right now.

The only game's i have played and finished since buying ps3 that are not ps3 game's are ff7,ff8,onimusha 3 and god of war 2.

i ONLY play one game, and thats socom, soon to be 0 games from ps2 once the new socom comes out

:lol: DMC4 isn't even close to being an excellent game, let alone the only excellent game on the PS3. MGS4, Uncharted, GTAIV, Oblivion... there's so many it's not even funny.

On-topic: Yeah I still play a lot of my older games, though it's usually only the games I really loved. I often won't go back and play a PS2 game I'd never played before (though I will be making an exception of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly fairly soon).

The first 2 games I beat on my PS3 were ICO and Shadow of the Collossus. Also I have a Wii so I guess not.

I can play fine with older games if their graphic was more based on artistic approach than technical beauty.

However, games that's almost completely based on technical beauty.... is getting difficult to look at.

The only last gen game I play is FFVIII because I just really love that game. The graphics are disappointing at first but you'll get used to it. Hopefully S.E. re-makes it.

No way. I still think PS2 graphics are decent, and I don't really have a choice if I want to do play something other than a shooter.Xelacht

Damn right. I'm pretty sick of shooters too..Lets hear it for a complete lack of creativity and balls to try something different this generation huh?

Nah I have a Wii so I'm used to it.

No. I don't have a short attention span and a small mind.

Heck, I still play NES games.

Nope.... some of the best games are on the older systems.....

Only problem i find sometimes is getting use to the controller again.... its weird to pick up an origional nintendo or Genesis controller......
