Both games have demos don't they? Play them and see which one you want for yourself. Although Uncharted 2 might be a better choice in terms of replay ability.
If you dont get games very often I would go with infamous. It takes a lot longer to beat the campaign then Batman and since you can play as either good or evil is has solid replay value.
Really you cant go wrong with either choice though, both are amazing games.
It's a tough choice, both are great games. inFAMOUS is a solid adventure game, and also exclusive. Do you like Batman? Also, the PS3 has the joker as an exclusive playable character if that matters. I'd personally go with Batman.

if your looking for something that will keep you interested and immersed for the longest amount of time, I woud say Infamous. I found both equally fun but Batman took me under a week to get the platinum while infamous took me two weeks. Infamous also has more replay value and still fun if your just roaming around having a good time. Batman will get you more raged if your going for the platinum whereas Infamous will be challenging but not enraging. So overall: Infamous. Hope this helps :p
This is like asking a parent which child they love the most. It's impossible to answer this question. I love them both equally. If a gun were put to my head though I'd probably go with Batman. But I'd cry for eternity knowing I lost Infamous.
inFamous will last you a lot longer, Batman doesn't really have that much going for it once you've completed the single player story. I would choose inFamous, but they both have demos, try them out and see which one you prefer.
If you really don't get games too often, then I honestly recommend inFAMOUS. I personally love Batman more, but the sheer amount of stuff you can do in inFAMOUS makes it the best "bang-for-buck" game. But you should have both in your collection eventually.
If you can get inFamous for a bargain, get that and save your money for the upcoming bout of christmas titles.... if you can't find that for cheaper, then I think Batman is just slightly the better game IMO. They're both great games though, you can't go wrong really :)

Rent? Anyway id go with Arkham because Batman:AA is truely an amazing game but Infamous is not a bad choice either. There both great games but I think Batman:AA willput a bigger smile on your face:)
Two different games really. If you love batman then of course arkham. If not you might not care about the game or the characters in it. So go for infamous.

Both of them are truely great games so if I was you I would try to make sure that I get them both eventualy but I'd probably go ahead and get infamous now if iI was you, it's a much longer game than arkham asylum so it should tide you over a little while longer and as someone said earlier you can get at least two play throughs out of it one being good and then again as evil.
