When accessing garage you repair and fill up ammo by just going in and out but there seems to be a rising cost the more often you access garage, is that so? Or some kind of mechanic which punishes you for accessing the garage more often? I think the game mentioned that in the first mission.

Heh, yeah I noticed now. It cost more and more and I was thinking "do I really have money for this? Let's see." And it didn't seem to be any problem. And then after the mission I saw I had a massive negative balance :o

So now I have to do missions just to pay it back

Welcome to Armored Core... The cost angle is one of the things I have never really dug about the series, as I tend to get a lot of damage, and use a pant-load of ammo. But it's really one of the best "Mech Sim" games.

:)

Not sure if I should check this out or not..? You didn't like the Amazing Spider Man?! That captured the camp of the series perfectly! Now if they convert the Frank Miller Daredevils, now THAT should be a movie worth seeing...

Bit OT, but - The film was a technical, casting, and pacing mess. There were two editors on it, one at the last minute after the film tested poorly. They removed several scenes which gave Doc Connors a reason for being his own test subject, and changed the narrative flow entirely. And being a Spidey fan since 1972, I can tell you that the film did NOT capture anything about the characters or the under-lying message (Great Power, Great Responsibility) which have made Spider-Man such a popular hero, they completely altered Peter Parker's personality and everything which makes his metamorphosis interesting... The action was a bore, there were more loose ends than I could count...

My opinion - They blew it completely. "Amazing Spider-Man" is the "Green Lantern" of Marvel Movies. A missed opportunity with some eye-candy to satisfy the uninitiated.

It's good I guess, I haven't played much since. The thing is that it changes alot from the previous two games and then people go "aaaawwhhh GOD what did they do??! now it's all..." because it a readaptation issue. Getting used to slower paced combat again and and so on. But I think it has potential once into it. As usual and especially for newcomers, with Armored Core you have to go dig in and be patient for the greatness to appear and be appreciated. I just ordered Armored Core 4 since I love For Answer and they are very similar games. Will probably play that before returning to AC5.

Having played every AC game since I started with Master of Arena, I have to say that AC5 is a lot of fun. The speed angle of the series has been tapped out, so taking it back to a game where slow and smart wins the day is pretty nice. It took me a couple days of didicated play to finally figure everything out, but I find myself favoring almost everything FromSoftware has changed about the series. The only gripe I have is the lack of people online, but that's not something the developers can directly affect.

I think AC5 takes the place as my 3rd favorite AC game, with MoA being second and Silent Line being first.
