assassins creed 2 freezing

today while playing assassins creed 2 it suddenly froze somewhere in Venice. this is the first time this happened and after a restart of the ps3, it didn't happen again. still, has anyone else had this game freeze on them? is it the game or the ps3?

Dont worry to much about it. I had the same issue with AC2 (happened once) & my PS3 is only 5 months old.Gamer197039

It actually just froze on me in Venice not 5 minutes ago. First time it has happened though.

If froze twice on me. I've never had a game feeze on me except AC2. Probably a bug

my ps3 never froze b4 except for in uncharted.... and now it froze like 5 times in AC2 in venice. is this a common problem with the game?

It froze only once. and one time a guard got stuck in the floor, you could only see his head lol.

Borderlands has done it to me several times, although you can see the framerate drop while playing iy along with glitches!! Never played AC2 yet.

My game froze for the first time in Venice at the end of chapter 9, i re-set the PS3 and now it just sits in the loading screen and does not load my saved game. I tried about ten times to load my game but it doesn't work, it just stays in the loading screen. I can run around in circles but after about 10 mins it freezes completely. Does anyone know anything i can do or should i just smash that F$%#ing game and go back to playing modern warfare 2?ZiMa1981

Mine is doing the exact same thing. I got my first copy from best buy and it foze at the begining of sequence 12. Now it just stays in the loading screen. I returned the game and went to gamestop. Tried 3 different copies just to seewhat would happen. All 3 froze in the loading screen. I have a PS3 slim 120gig btw. Don't count on ever being able to play the game again.
