well if you look at the left hand of altair on assassins creed you'll notice that his ring finger has been cut off whats that all about any ideas?

this is old news i thought they replace it with that blade/knife/dagger thing

Yah the devs talked about this long ago from what i remember he is missing his left ring finger for like an initiation when he received that dagger, so when it comes out it comes out in place of that finger and all. There might be some more details on it somewhere with the story of the game but if not mistaken thats why.
