Assassins creed gameplay??????

hey im plannin on gettin Assassins creed soon and i was just wonderin about how the game plays...

like after you finish the game is the whole world unlocked for you so you can go anywhere....or wud you need to start a new game afta you finish it????

the whole world is not unlocked right away, after the first 3 or 4 missions it is though, so its only 2 or so hours in to the game that its unlocked. a huge portion of it is right away though.

Yeah i don't really see how people will finish this game in less than 15 hours. I'm about to assassinate the 3rd guy and i'm about 6-7 hours into the game already. I'm probably looking at 25 hours if i keep going at this rate. TM1

I've heard the enemies are brain dead and only attack one at a time, that is horrible and to me looks like 1 counter kills the enemy.Sure the platforming looks amazing but combat should be just as strong as the platforming. I probably won't get this unless they might find a way to update the enemy A.I. Ohh well I got Folklore and Uncharted is coming out and Haze will come out soon as well to keep me busy.Lost_forgotten

They dont attack much if you just hold down the counter button, because obviously, they can tell by your stance, it wont end well for themXD if u just stand normaly with ur sword out, they will come after you alot more in groups:P so iv found any ways

YOU can only attack one at a time, so you have to jump around and unleash on everyone. You can'tleave yourself vulnerable. They don't just wait in line, they'll stab you in the back. The combat is very rewarding so far.

I like the combat as well:D its abit different and realistic, not all this OMG I JUST OWND 500 PPL EASILY!

If you attack one enemy or have your back turned, the other guy will attack you. They don't always attack one at a time. You will not be swung upon by multiple enemies at once. In the cases mentioned above the original person you were fighting is not swinging his weapon. Even when fighting groups the combat system essentialy makes it one on one. Trust me if it wasnt this way though the game would be too hard. Even fighting the guys one at a time i have still died. Just roll with it. Everybody knows the combat is the worse part of this game. You dea with it so you can enjoy the other parts which are really good

U do have to unlock it piece by piece, each part is a memory

thanx for the info people...also how repetitive is it??? ive heard thats its real repetitive :? is it repetitive like, you wont be able to tell unless you think bout it hard and that your having to much fun to notice it....or is it repetitive like, IM SO FREAKING BORED OF THIS!! lol.

cause im wondering whether i shud get this or COD4, i know COD4 is a good game, but im sick of FPS games at the moment, ive got 2 dont need anymore, esp cause i only play MP most of the time on it, and its enough fun for the moment. but i want a good game to substitute not havin COD4, and i know that im picking assassins creed, a game that doesnt hav any MP and probly wont last a long time, but meh, still looks good....and i can imagine it playing on my 42 inch X-series Sony Bravia lol 8)

well about its repetitvness, I never thought there could ever be a game thats this repetative. i would have thought people getting payed big money for a project like this would be more creative. with that said, i still like the game, its fun. If you can live with doing the same thing several times over, you will like it

THAT said, get CoD4, if you bought CoD you would want to sell all your other FPS, you wont need them, so trade them in for CoD4 thats a deal

i just beat assassins creed it was awsome but..... not too hard and not too long but theres gonna be an assassins creed 2 comin out in 08
