I can tell you what the story is, I've kinda figured it out from trailers and hint dropping. So, if I'm right, spoilers spoilers spoilers.

The premise of the game is based around the concept that memories of one's predeccessors is encoded in their genes, in what was previouwsly thought to be 'junk code'. In the future, they have figured out how to access that memory, and are using it to find the 'perfect assassin' for some unnamed job they need them to do. By strapping you in, they force you to relive the life of your badass assassin ancestor during the crusades. If he's good enough, you're good enough.
