Assassin's creed look disappointing to anyone else?

Watched the new videos over at IGN and I couldnt help but laugh. It looks a little silly with the enemies being highlighted in code, and some kind of DNA meterblinking up top?Not sure about the sci-fi medevil genre mashing. all the scripted animations and stuff were funny too. I liked when he threw the knife at the guys shoulder, but the knife came into his stomach and then he fell over clutching his gut. Everytime they release a little bit more of a look at the game i get a little put off. I also dont really get the whole leap of faith thing. You cause a bunch of havoc, then just run around until you find some hay, jump in it, and then everything in the kingdom returns to normal?

I dunno, what do you guys think?

well as for me i wanst very interested in the game at first, but after watching those new videos the game looks really good and fun, i added it to my November shopping list lol

To me, the game looks more impressive than ever. But the complaints from the press about the controls make me very hesitant. Not to mention it comes out at a time when AAA titles will be fighting for my gaming dollar, such as Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Virtua Fighter 5 (online), etc. I think it's one I'll wait on.

I'm still not sure.

Previews tend to hype games up and when the review comes out they say it sucks.. It happens on every gaming website and in every gaming mag. I hate previews.

So no I'm not disapointed in AC but I'm not overly excited either.

Unfortunately I can't agree with you.

Assassin's Creed is shaping up to be a superb game. Maybe it's not your type of a game.

Personally, I can't wait to walk around the living and breathing medieval city with high-tech gadgets (if that's what it is) hunting down my prey in style and completely calmness.

Assassins Creed has been struggling on development for both the 360 and ps3. 360 due to lack of space on the dvd9 and the ps3 due to lack of memory.

Looks great to me, will buy if it has good reviews.

Ubi has another 3-4 weeks to polish the game and what I know about the game is too little to judge it yet. I'll read the reviews and rent the game before I decide, after Lair I don't believe in previews anymore...

IMO, don't judge before it's released. we as a gaming community have come to have only a SMALL slice of what this game contains. If it really puts you off, just rent it and give it a chance. I cant wait (I am a HUGE medieval fan, but that's not the point) for this game. The scaling of walls and combat really caught my interest. Also, I am pretty sure it's going to turn out to be a great game. It's ubisoft man, they don't mess around when it comes to games. oh and dude, how can the simplest things like this DNA meter turn you off? are you THAT picky?

No...the game is going to be very good...
