1) how open ended is assassin's creed as to what u want to do

2) is it mission based (like GTA) or makes u follow a central flowing storyline (like prince of persia)

3) why are so many people saying ihat u need "patience" to play it...

i know it hasn't released yet, so juss base this on what u know

-There's three huge cities in the game. Like San Andreas, all of them are like your play ground, you can climb stuff, jump stuff, throw people off stuff, the people are always interacting with you and your actions.

-Yes and no. You just need ot kill three big wigs in each city and you can these missions when ever you want.

-The controls are a bit complicated. But, once you get the hang of them, you'll have a breeze.

This is only similar to GTA b/c its sandbox. If you don't like open ended gaming be afraid for the future of video games.

I wouldn't say that. GTA has always been a sort of 'jack-of-all trades' game. Where as Assassin's creed seems to be more focused on it's assasinatingness, alot less of a pricking about style of gameplay like you get with GTA. also if you don't buy it then you'll make Jade Raymond cry. and well... if you're comfortable with that you're a monster.

I think the patience comment is due to the nature of the escape after you finally take your opportunity to take out the target.

You basically get locked in the city and have to find a way out while every guard in the city is chasing after you which can probably get frustrating at times, but that just makes it all the more satisfying when you finally get away.

True, but according to a recent interview with Patrice, the patience comes from the fact thatyou have to learn to walk and not run, even if you know where to go, you have take your time to get there.

That was hilarious! but really, I am still kinda iffy about AC. EGM brought up a good point. the gameplay may become repetitive without any sort of currency system. Currency systems give games immense amount of gameplay/replay value. Look at Oblivion, or Ratchet and Clank. Both games have RIDICULOUS amounts of gameplay.

I hate how I can't edit my posts, anyone else have this problem? Anyway,

I just wanted to elaborate on that. I think they really should have been able to make it so you can pickpocket/rob/loot for coins/other items in this game. a loot system is another way to add lots of gameplay. but this game seems rather "barebones". get the hit, get info, assassinate, rinse, repeat. I will wait for a review on this one, and I'm pretty sure I'll get it, but I'm still cautiously optimistic.

YOU CAN!!! There is a short review posted on here from Empire something (sorry I can't remember the name), and in the review he stated that if you need a throwing knife, you can pickpocket itfrom a pedestrian that has some on his belt.
