I am really intrigued by Assassin's Creed but most people I have talked to say the game is terrible. A few people have told me they love the game. It seems to be that people either love it or hate it. What are your opinions and should I get this game?

I had the game. Key word "HAD". It gets very repetitive very quick. It does look nice though.

It's not a bad game IMHO... but it could've done a bit better.

And I'd definitely loved it if the ending wasn't like that.

it does get a bit repetitive in the middle and the end is just one big hack/slash fest...but overall it was a great game

its been on sale for 38.99/39.99 all over the place, so just grab it at that price and it is well worth it

Sure it's repetitive.. like ALL OTHER GAMES ARE to some extend. Heck, even games like Pong were repetitive. and people didn't cry about that.. people have gotten weak over the years. I fully enjoyed the game. knowing what i went into (because of what the DEVELOPERS promised me) and they delivered on their promises. The ending was great when you think about it.. They said, months before AC came out, that it would be a trilogy. so there's a reason for the ending... People might understand the story better if they actually did the obvious and collected all the information from the emails and stuff.

Yea, Its a cool rent thow. And a cool story kinda. And it runs ok. I never got a freeze or anything on mine?? Did get the weird Fast forward thing once thow in this game also. Someone mentioned over clock maybe? Not sure?

But Uncharted is still way more fun. But AC was a game that had some really cool stuff. That you did over and over and over. Tools are their to make a great game or sequel. And you do see that. But they were not used to full advantage by far.

Put it this way, I enjoyed AC more than I did HS. But neither one came close to Uncharted in my opinion.

If you're intrigued by Assassin's Creed then you should definitely give it a shot. It's true, the game does get little repetitive, but as Ze stated - many games are. If you look pass little thing like that AC is far away from from terrible from the people you talked to.

It probably wasn't their cup of tea.

Assassin's Creed is a great game, if you want to know my more in-debt opinion you can take a look at my blog review. :)

Im borrowing this game from a friend right now and I'm about 5-6 hours into and I'm loving it. I dont know if i got to the "repetitive part" yet but Im reallly enjoying the climbing/roof jumping controls, they are fluid and really well done. Combat is pretty good, but I think games like Heavenly Sword or Devil May Cry may have a bit more depth, but Creeds controls are responsive and the counters are fun to do and watch. Graphics, especially the locales, are amazing. I love the detail of every little alley of each city, and i also love how you can basically climb anywhere, effortlessly. It may get repetitive later in the gam, i dunno, but i figure I can just skip the side quests and rooftop vantage point goals etc and go right for the story assassinations if I want. I boosted up my life pretty good so far by trying to get every save citizen/rooftop view goals, so I think I'll be in good shape. One thing I DONT plan on doing is those flag capture things.... 100 flags? ummm no thanks, sounds boring.

Overall I love the attention to detail in this game, and I highly recommend it.

That was exactly how I played it, In the end I didn't desire to save every single citizen, or collecting flags. There was just no need for it.

Such simple things didn't took my liking of the overall game, which by its own means was well done.

does it get repetitive? yes. Did it make my put down my controller and get rid of the game? definitely not. The visuals are pretty amazing and the gameplay mechanics are awesome
