Hey guys im wondering if i should get the assassins creed games or not. I played AC1 back in 2007 dident like it that much tbh dident even finish it, but ive heard praise about ac2, and brotherhood and it got me thinking should i give them a chance? So heres a few questions: -Do i need to play the games in order? AC1>AC2>brotherhood and soon revelations?Lets say i start on number 2 will i understand stuff? -As i understand it the first game was bad but number 2 was epic? so was brotherhood?

I played the first one but i didn't like it, i gave the second a try and loved it, brotherhood is also a lot of fun so i would say give it another go.

Well, i am not sure if you will like other creed games if you didnt like the first one. They play very much alike with few new features. AC: II is a better game overall but fundamentally, its the same gameplay. Rent the game first or if you are PS+ subscriber, play the full game for one hour. Personally, i enjoyed all AC games but i wait until the price is down to 20-30$ before purchase.

Definitely get the second one and then get Brotherhood if you like it. They have the same key gameplay mechanics as the first one but are so much better in every where. Like you, I didn't finish the first one because it was so repetitive and boring but both sequels are excellent.

AC2 is cheap now, pick it up and see if you like it, its so much better than AC1 its not even funny.

They fixed almost all of its flaws and added a bunch of stuff.

You'd be vaguely confused for having not finished the first one, but if memory serves they do give you some refresher on the more important bits, I'd say you should just go for it, like people said, it's cheap now, and muchly improved from the first.

AC1 was bad so I don't blame you for not liking it. That said, you NEED to play AC2. I understand your fear, I was the same way, but they completely fixed AC with AC2. In fact, I'd say AC2 is one of the greatest games ever made. AC Brotherhood is also rather good and definitely worth a purchase.

I never played the first game because of the bad things people say about it, but I have played Assassin's Creed II because I love a good action adventure. I, however, thought the game was severely mediocre. The combat and traversal are so clunky and shallow. Maybe I need to play it more, but as it stands, it seems rather poorly made.

Definitely give the series a second chance. They're all vastly more accessible, engaging and enjoyable after the first game, plus you can't really go wrong with £10 or $15 for II and Brotherhood.
