I am sure that most of us have already seen the newest demo of Assassin's Creed.

I read that ppl think it a dissapointing experience, with the demo too full of bugs and glitches.

I also tend to agree on this matter, the developers still have some work ahead of them if they plan on delivering the promised quality in the game.

But, I am a lenient person, and will grant that it was indeed only a demo, and we cannot judge the finished product by this one example. There is still some time left, and Ubisoft know how to develop their games.

I guess the proof will be in the pudding.

What do you think?

I think its Ubisoft, who at times has produce some Uber Bad games. There is a great game within Assasins Creed, infact its one of my most anticipated titles, however, if Bugs and Glitches plague this game it will come off my list of games pretty quickly.

Being Ubisoft Montreal, and being the creators of the newer and amazing prince of persia games, I think they have the ability to fix all of the issues...its just a question of will they.

Jade Raymond said yesterday on G4s E3 coverage, that the build they used for the Demo was already outdated, that that glitch where the guy got stuck in the air, that was already fixed back at the studio.

She also said that the game was essentially done, and that they have already started the debugging and pollishing stagesof development, and that they would be in that stage for another 3 months until the game was ready to be mass produced for retail. So they know what needs to be fixed and are already working on it.

I wouldn't panic about a couple stupid little glitches like that, I have faith they will have this game ready to live up to it's potential.

I think the crowd interaction needs to get better. There is only two animations he does when going through the crowd. I saw the video, and the guy was like 5 feet from the pedestrian and he acted like he was 5 inches away.

They should have demo'd it on a worthwhile system instead of what they showed it on.

I think the game will be relatively bug free, it has a good studio behind it and still has time before it is released.

Admittedly I was disapointed with one thing though, the voiceover for Altair, especially the line "come down and fight with honour" ugh, fine an assassin lives with a code of sorts but is that going to stop him from sneaking up behind someone and taking them out with a stab to the back?

I would have preferred the Altair to have either little to no dialogue or build his character with dialogue and story like what happened in the Prince of Persia series.

True, we have heard very, very little about the characters in game in ragards of personality and they may very well have a detailed character for Altair but I hope they are not just giving him some generic hero voiceover and I hope the "fight with honour" thing was more Altair goading him rather then just sounding like Mr Generic gamehero.

Thats my tuppence anyway, still looking forward to the game like mad though.

I agree with the "fight with honor" line. I was thinking that it was mighty tough talk coming from an assassin who jumps from rooftops to jab someone in the neck.

I am still eagerly anticipating this title.

i thought the platforming was very nice, close to Sands of Time but the combat seemed too slow when you see other games like Heavenly Sword.

Thats because the game aims for more realism rather then manic combat, I think it has a system where if you take a single blow to the head it'll kill you, likewise you kill enemies just as easily too.

put it on the PS3 and it would look like a PS2 game... now considering they have yet to demo it on a PS3 leads me to believe they are not working well on that version... they are aiming for the 360 for main platform so yeaah the 360 version will most likely be better than the ps3

I thought that fight with honor line was not delivered well. The villian's dialog was delivered in a far more believable tone. Granted, he also had a lot mor to say. All in all, the demo was cool. The pop-up and the problem with the slow down fall (that's why he was hanging in the air) are sure to be dealt with by release, so it's still near the top of my list of "Must Own" games.

well it definately seems to be running better than last years E3, that being said, it did have some serious bugs/ glitches, but like you said they still have some time to go to polish or buff some of that out, before the games actually ships. we will just have to wait and see, but rememebr, no game is completely bugless.

Assassin's Creed certainly has potential. I think the game is quite innovative with what they are trying to do. Looking forward to it. The game-play seem to be very fun. The whole jumping from roof tops to roof tops to make a kill or escape can be very enjoyable. Since you can go anywhere... It minus the repetitiveness of doing the same thing every time and you can experiment with many possibilities.

To me, the demonstration was solid... Still a early version so you would expect some bugs but it was quite impressive.
