Assassins Creed-great, or a total let-down

I have heard Assassins Creed isn't all its cracked up to be? what`s your opinion?

i dont think it's all that great....i could've been a great game if it wasnt so repetitive. You keep doing the sameeee stuff over and over again. I really dont think it should've received a 9.0 rating...maybe an 8.0. And Uncharted should've received a 9.0 but it got an 8.0....very backwards

You might have a different opinion than I do, but I'll give mine anyway. If you have absolutely no games to get and have beaten all PS3 exclusives, or played the PS3 exclusives, get it. A rent will suffice though, seeing as how easy it is. I felt that it was boring after the first assassin, and went to complete another 4 assassin marks, but after that I just turned it off because I got pretty bored with it. Travel 3 cities, not much to do, and if you start killing civilians your health will dwindle. Hardly no blood, although rated M, and A.I. isn't so good. Replay value? No there isn't none. I haven't beaten it, but I know what is going to happen, you can just tell. They give it away while your completing your assassins also.

The end of the story is pretty much given to you in the first part as well. If you haven't played Uncharted, you should get it. Heavenly Sword is also great, although short its good. You kind of get that openness in AC, but it doesn't feel complete.

Give AC a try though and rent it to see how you like the game.

OK well I`ll probably rent it and if i like buy it but being repetive isnt such a big deal to me. This game still seems pretty fun and i think i could look past the repetitiveness because ive played games like Spider- man where you always have the same little side-missions. Uncharted looks fun toougafootballfan1

Lol, you did? If you did you might very well like this game. The sword action can be pretty cool to, you'll like the counter moves once you see them. ;)

The reason i want it so badly is that my favorite genre of games is Action-adventure and i like swordfights in games to. I like other games like zelda since it is also an action-adventure game. i think the combat system looks very real its not just another one of those games where when you swordfight the opponent blocks and on the next swing their dead. their is such a variety of things to do in the fights-ive seen some pretty grusome movesugafootballfan1

Oh, I see. Well you won't notice those little problems anyway. It is a good game, I personally liked charging my horse while swinging my sword galaping through villegas like a mad man. Then I liked taking my little hidden knife to the back of those beggers, lol, I know its pretty wrong but they can be a bit much when I am trying to be a bit covert. Its fun running on builidings and doing various little tricks. Sometimes I would start over on my get away plan, so that I can plan it right, that was a lot of fun also.

You can, but if you do your health goes down. Its not good to kill innocents. but, not all guards are bad and you can kill a lot of them at will....

Yes I do, and I am a person who mostly plays third person action adventure games. I've played DMC trilogy, Prince of Persia Trilogy, God of War I, II, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, and a lot more games, and I think it's the best game ever. If you don't think that it is true then you obviously didn't beat the game and while doing it read all the emails top truly realize the depth of the game.

Can I ask how well tha patch is working? I have to wait about a week to get it because once it lands in NA, I have to make time to take it (PS3) to my cousins house and update there, since I do not have access to the PSN from home.

It's a great game but I think that it is too muchrepetitive, it's very good to play the first times but then it became a bit boring.
I would say that if you liked prince of persia on the ps2 you must buy assassin becauseit is similar in gameplay but the graphic is obviously much better;)
