I completely disagree...i thought assassins was a great game. Dunno if I would name it game of the year but it was still great. Most people just dont like it cause its not fast paced enough for them. Lots of ppl are just about the non stop shooting FPS games... Anyway game of the year for me is Uncharted for sure.
Assassins Creed game of the year duh hell no to many bugs in the game an the game is good but not that good to be game of the year the ai is dumb in the game man there is to many problems to keep talkin about. if i had to choose its outta uncharted , heavenly sword even though its short but still good game an cod4 its outta one of them not assassins creed. psn-bosshog35

I'm not a fan of FPS and i love action adventure games. You can check my collection and see for yourself. I had great expectations for AC, but it ended up being a complete let down. Technically the game is fantastic, but thegameplay is the most repetitive i have ever experienced in my life as a gamer.
Creed is quite possibly the worst game Ive ever encountered. If you werent blind by the artistic style of the game(which is amazing) then you would see that this isnt innovative what so ever.

And besides, are you actually saying that Assassin's Creed, out of every game you have ever played, is the worst? IMO Chicken Shoot for the Wii is the worst looking and least fun game of all time. At least Assassins Creed is somewhat fun for most people for at least a bit. Chicken shoot is horrible right off the bat.
Not really the right forum, but one game that no one talks about for game of the year is God of War II. I would think it is in the running at least. Definitely more than Ass Ass In Creed
I cant think of one good thing to say about Creed. Bad AI, Bad vo, over simplified platforming, technical problems from beginning to end, awful combat, repetitive, glitchy.....god the list goes on. It is honestly the worst game I paid for in the last 4 years.
My goty would be a tough choice between Mario Galaxies, Uncharted, Metroid Prime 3, and CoD4.
no way AC is GOTY for me. it is really fun and i love killing guards and taking out targets but the game freezes too much, and the story is interesting but confusing. for me it is uncharted or COD4.
i would say HELL NO. the game is fun at best. but other than the story, you honestly have experienced everything that the game has to offer after the first assassination in Damascus (sp?).

lol, im sure there's some game out there for nes 100x worse then AC lol, but its lack of online, and bugginess will porbably cause it to not win. but don't get me wrong i love it, 1st offline game i've bought in years.
I agree 100 percent. Assassins Creed is the game of the year. I love this game and hope they make Assassins Creed 2. Like maybe go thru the ages and be an assassin in different time eras...think of the possibilities!!!!
I'll rather have a DDR game as game of the year than Assassins Creed. If you had said biggest dissapoinment, I would have been the first to vote. Is not a bad game, but it just fails in to many aspects to make it "game of the year".
me? well its still resistance, lol, till killzone 2 , metal gear 4, gta 4, and ut 3 come out, resistance will still be the game of the year for me, had it since launch and still not sick of it, lol( on the side note, i have 9 other games as well) just i still think reisstance is better
Yeh, worst game ever??? I think that's possibly a slightly over-exaggerated statement. AC is quite repetitive, but it is good nonetheless. Haven't bought Drakes yet, only came out over here yesterday, and I haven't got enough cash anyway.
If BioShock wins, I'll be disgusted - the most overrated piece of stereotypical Linear FPS crap I've ever played. Artwork was amazing but that's about it.

I agree. I beat the game just to say that I stuck it out. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it. This is one series that I'll forget about unless huge changes are made for the sequels.

Personally I think this year has been pretty poo for games, probably because I've been waiting for games to come out and they all got delayed 'till next year. PS3 GotY should be R&C for me, not played Uncharted yet.
Portal is the game that has left the biggest impression on me, so my overall GotY has to be the Orange Box
