I think they'll both be the same premium quality. Even though I think inFamous is more interesting. (I have only played the demo).
The demo for inFamous actually turned me off; but the full game was amazing. I feel that protoypes gameplay will be repetitive, while inFamous has a very diverse amount of mission types. Also, to me, it looks like Prototype basically has no consequences for killing civilians or helping them; but inFamous is centered around it.
[QUOTE="cj_simmons"]I thought they both would suck even when I played the infamous demo I thought it would suck. but after it got 9's across the board i figured that i was missing something some i picked it up ( cause even if i didn't like it i still got the u2 beta). but now infamous is one of the funnest games i've played in a while. it still has some glitches but it's fun. If they won't better sells then they should make better demos i still think prototype won't be that good Aboogie5See it's people like you who are so gullible, what happens if it got a 7 like it did from one site that i saw... You would not have gotten the game. This is what makes developers lose money from some freaken reviewers, just cuz they dont like the game doesnt mean you wont like it
if they won't more sells then they should make better demos
infamous wasn't a game i was even remotly intrested in intill i seen the reveiws, so the reveiws made the sell
Well I did think Protype looked better...on the whole violence and destruction scale of things.
But other than that I thought they both would be good.:P

In what universe is 7 a bad score? Oh, right, the internet, where it's crap if it gets below a 9. The same internet that was out for blood when this very site gave Twilight Princess an 8.8, even though the word "great" appears right below the score.VoiceOfPlanet7 is indeed a bad score for a game that is expected to do well by many

Lol i played infamous for about 5 min and i fell in love and that was only the demo!
Prototype is gonna get high ratings due 2 its waaaaaay more violent lol that and prototype just looks to promising and sexy lol plus its mutiplat
B4 u played infamous demo and full gm... Aboogie5:shock: Plz dun tlk leik dat. And on a serious note, I thought Infamous was going to be better than Prototype, but I'm not getting Infamous but I am getting Prototype. All about the fun for me. Flashy graphics don't lure me into a game.
I have Prototype on my GameQ and I'm sure I'll enjoy it but I doubt I'll enjoy it more than I'm enjoying inFamous. inFamous just simply plays better than pretty much any game I've played this generation. All but a few of the more-specialized powers can be used in numerous ways and can be combined in even more ways, combined with an environment that is extremely interactive and exploitable environment, interesting ways to get around said environment, and controls that could best be described as "telepathic" encourages lots of experimentation makes for a truly incredible game, as far as the actual core gameplay is concerned. If you're playing inFamous and are only kinda-sorta enjoying it, take the time to step back from the missions and just experiment with the powers and the environment for a while. You'd be amazed at how quickly and frequently you discover some new and entertaining way of doing something. Once you start doing things like sticking a grenade to a guy at close range and then quickly using the shockwave to send your newly explosive friend back at his two buddies, you'll fall in love, just like I did.VoiceOfPlanetDamn u sound like those old timers reminiscing on freaken Atari or something LOL , Yeah inFamous is great and challenging... could be a contender of GOTY 4 PS3

Nintendo makes a bazillion dollars with the Virtual Console because A: old timers like us honestly do miss the days where a game was conceived as a way to play first and as an intellectual property second and B: a lot of those games are considered classics because even today the gameplay holds up. Seriously, pop in the original Mario Kart, grab a friend, play some battle mode and tell me you're not having a great time.

yes he does, even though I usually base my buying decisions on reviews. I don't give the score to much thought, I read the whole review and decided if what the game has to offer suites me or not. I also use demos to influence my buying decisions. Although GS users influence me to buy games on occasion, it's mainly thanks to Yoko that I bought Valkyria Chronicles, and I'm glad I did.
i was iffy on inFAMOUS at first and i think prototype looks like shiot... but after trying the demo for inFAMOUS it was a definite first day purchase for me.

P.S. i still play it from time to time, killzone 2 update got me back on killzone alot more now. not that i wasnt on it to begin with cuz i lvoe that game too, just infamous dragged me away for few weeks lol.......by the way u should never ever let other sites or reviewers stop u from playin a game, there are games out there that got 4 outta 10 and i still picked it up and played it. one game which got a 5 i believe was legend of dragoon, but man i love that game i still play it till this day, i probably beat it at least 30 times! oh and about prototype, im pickin it up this tuesday for sure day one, but i know for a fact that not only its a bit repetitive, and ur a cross between, hulk/superman/spiderman lol graphics arent as good as infamous(not sayin infamous has graphics like uncharted or killzone 2) but its def better than prototype. how i know its repetitive? gamestop where i ususally pick up my pre-orders had a demo, but its in their ps3 and u cant get it but try it out like the new batman game, and while it was fun being unstoppable almost, it didnt have the same feeling as infamous. its like spiderman 3 on steroids and looks better graphic wise than spiderman 3

LOL - that's one of my favorite moves! One of my other favorites is if you've got a group of baddies coming down an alleyway at you, throw a grenade BEHIND them and then Shockwave the entire group back INTO the explosive. :D
As for the OP's question, I pretty much expected inFamous to be the better game from the start, just because of the game's pedigrees. InFamous was done by Sucker Punch, who had done great stuff in the past with the Sly games on PS2. Prototype, on the other hand, looks like a reskinned version of Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, which was a previous game of Radical's, and one that I didn't particularly enjoy - good for an evening maybe, but nothing I'd want to spend $60 on. Once inFamous put out that demo, though, I was sold - anyone who hasn't picked up the game yet should definitely download it; it's GREAT.
Kind of weird that Prototype hasn't even put out a demo, though - that is worrying.
