Yup, the 60GB PS3 has the best BC. 80GB has partial BC and 40GB has none at all. IF you have a lot of PS2 games go for the 60GB. I am debating over the 60GB and 40GB, myself.

I went with the 80gb myself, as it has the BC and more storage space. I bought it from Kmart for $399 (80gb/Motorstorm bundle) after using a 20% off coupon (can be found at cheapassgamer.com). So for me it was a no brainer, as I got the 80gb bundle for the same price as the 40gb ;) If you like playing your PS2 games, getting the 80gb should work pretty well as it works with all of the games I have tested so far.
